If only I hadn't just taken three weeks off work for a GC trip... I could afford some SGs.
Mistakes were made.

Is there any chance of a smaller waisted steeple? Say around 95-98? For those of us that don't get to tour till spring time

Wren 98 is a great touring ski on its own - the standard tail holds skin clips just fine and they aren't really that heavy.

Had my first day out on Wren 98’s at Timberline Lodge this past weekend. 6+ inches of Cascade cement and snowboarder packed undulations. The rocker profile of the Wren’s handled both conditions really well. No tip dive in the cement and easy pivot on the packed.
I didn’t even notice the stiffness of the Wrens one way or the other so started thinking about adding Billy Goats for Mt Hood powder days. I was thinking that the Billy Goats might be too stiff. How does the flex pattern and stiffness of the Billy Goats compare to the Wren 98’s? The website has the Wren 98’s stiffness profile as 7-8-7 and the Goats as 7-9-8 for tip-waist-tail.

Billy goats shape makes them easy to ski. The flex allows them charge chop and chunder. Best of both worlds.

You just can't go wrong with some BGs. Get them and join the 98 wrens + BG crew. Best two ski quiver.
