looking at some BG tours for a clydesdale. care to elaborate on your specs and thoughts about a the tour core for someone 230lbs? was looking at 192s but hesitant given my mass. gonna be a pow touring only rig, no inbounds.

Anyone else here on the 192 BG tours care to opine?

For pow touring only, I'd definitely go 116's. My 108s are light AF...probably the lightest ski I've toured on...so great to tour and easy to ski. I'm probably 190lbs w/o gear, so I would think 192 116's would be ideal for you at that size.

I doubt anyone is on the 192 tour as they were just released. I imagine they ski similar to my 189s, which are awesome in virgin snow. To complicate things, with the added float of the 118 underfoot, you could probably go down a size in length.

Finally pulled the trigger on these customs before the sale ended. My wallet took a huge beating today, but it's worth it.

Very nice Sylvan and Brasso - mighty fine looking shredsticks!

And yes - agreed, raw pivots match those wood102tour graphics Sylvan perfectly, especially with Cast. Such a versatile setup - going for the same (if different graphic though)

A bunch of J116 stoke here with some BG and J108 action.

J116 is a seriously impressive ski, it's surprisingly close to the BG in terms of slarvy looseness and only gives up a tiny bit of the shitfuck manky predictability. They're very confidence inspiring in quite a wide range of conditions. Just realized that no real jibby stuff made the cut but they spin, butter, and land switch in the soft and variable with the best of em.
Once again, ON3P makes my new favourite ski.

PM's replied. Would split skis and binders, but prefer to move skis + skins together as selling skins naked would be tough. Skins are like-new BD Glidelite nylon + mohair mix (the best IMO) - the backcountry.com edition because....camo.

How about $550 + ship for skis and skins ?

Looks fun FullStop! Which camera are you using? My GoPro Session 4 is dying and I lust for better stabilization.

    Great vid FullStop!!!

Lusting after the Woodsman 110 but sensibly the 102 would be the smarter way to go to pair with the BG118 for our Alberta Rockies dry spells. Somebody convince me to go 110. CAST is going on both regardless for slack country shenanigans.

On another note, spent all last season touring on the BG116 (189) Tour construction and looking forward to more days on that setup. If I had to do it again, admittedly I would look a little harder at the 50/50 layup for a slight increase in stiffness. I may have felt like I over drove the tips some days compared to the BG116 regular but wow do I have fun on this shape regardless. Awesome days out at Kootenay Pass.

I fk'n love camo, so I'll take 'em. PMed again.

In case anyone is interested, I'm going to buy these skis and put Casts on them. Winter can't come soon enough.

Thinking of making more bad choices, in the form of a dedicated setup for exclusive use powder touring and cat skiing. Interior BC and Wa. Have goats, just want a lighter version with minimal compromises. Have question:

    1) Standard goats vs tour goats. How much softer are they? Hate floppy ski.
    2) For those who went 50/50 layup how much weight did it add?
    3) Between full-fat and 110 goats. Worried about being under-gunned. Concerns founded or unfounded?
