Just bumping these back up. Good through the end of the week. About to start flipping some promotional stuff on, so just wanted to make sure people had access to em if they are on the fence.
Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

Stoked to hear more about them when you get more time on them as it’s forsure something I want to get on!
These skis go for sure. This in a 108 underfoot would likely be enjoyed by a number of you haha. It was technically off the PF Profile, which is in between the stock and tour layup, 19oz and double 6" carbon as Jay mentioned. I don't think we've ever made a pair with that core/layup before. Definitely a ski that likes speed.

Do you think the Supergoats are too much of an overlap for my 191's? Kind of kidding

But how much different is the stiff version of the Supergoats compared to my 191's? What changes would I notice between the two?

I really love the 2016 top sheets, those are the Oregon topos eh?

5'7" 145lbs - good skier, ex racer blah, blah, blah

home hill Big Mountain so tight trees and few open bowls but I do want this ski to perform at speed.

    current quiver-
182 blizzard wrc cheater gs skis
    177 x-drive 8.8
    177 cochise (pre taper)
    185 volkl two

    looking at a wren 108, so 179 or 184.

haven't been on an on3p since my og prebuy 186 billygoats

Probably 179 for tight trees. I doubt you would feel lacking at speed in the open at that length.
Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.

Use your Cochise for sizing the Wren 108. If your good with Cochise @ 177 the 179 will be fine

I’ve never wished the Cochise was smaller, just worried with the rocker the 179 would ski shorter than the 177 Cochise.

With almost all of the big name brands, you can add 1-3cm in length to the ON3P's in relative comparison.... since they measure correctly. So a 179 ON3P is like a 181 Blizzard. At least usually, from what I've compared, I'm sure there are exceptions.

I went from a 185 Cochise to a 184 W108, for whatever that is worth.

My 186 K108 is 4-5cm longer than my 185 Cochise.

Just pulled the trigger on the Wren 108 in a 184 after battling between the Kartel 108 in 186 or the Wren for a few weeks after skiing them both. Couldn't pass up the discount and wanted the current model.

I haven't been on the 179 W108, but if you like your 177 Cochise, I'll echo what others have said and suggest the 179. I got the 184 W108 this season to finally replace my first year 185 Cochise, and it skis similar. Doesn't feel short at all. I'm 5'11" 165lbs.

If anything the Wren will ski longer because 1) it is longer and 2) it has camber and you have to actually load the ski to get it to turn instead of just wishy washy pivoting around (assuming you have the older Cochise that as flat/reverse camber).

Thank you for sharing as the code shaved $180 off of factory list Billy Goats!

Also similar to the current Jeffrey 110 I'm skiing, with the 25m radius. Not saying everyone will love it, but I think enough people are on the fence between a Wren and a Kartel that ON3P could sell enough pairs to make it worthwhile. But it's still in my head -- would obviously need to ski a pair to see if the experiment has any merit.
I'd love a modernized (Kartel-ized) version of my old stiff Jeffrey 110's. Keep the extra carbon, elliptical sidecut, 25m radius, but add the Kartel's reduced tail rocker profile.

Skied the K96/K108 since and definitely prefer the longer radius on the old J110's...it might be time to start your own thread to gauge real interest with real dollars to spend on this "dream ski" of yours; it has my attention.

I also have first year cochise 185cm and am thinking of replacing with new Wren108 184cm. Could you say a little more as to how they are alike/dissimilar? And I assume you are on current W108?

I’ve got a lot of days on both, same sizes. The Cochise is slightly better on groomers, the Wren 108 is much better in powder (mainly the tips plane significantly better and slice back to the surface whereas Cochise has tip dive issues). Both are great in chop with a slight edge to the Wren. Similar skis, both like wide open spaces and going fast but are still easy to pivot in tight spaces.
I ski 135 degree chutes switch to the road.

I would disagree with the groomers part. The first year Cochise to me felt pretty lifeless on groomers, likely due to the lack of camber, and it mostly just wanted to go fast. But I have other skis for groomers, so I never really thought much of it. The Cochise was good in chop, if you skied it the way it wanted to be skied, and I found it fun in pow, though perhaps on the deepest days it didn't float as well as something with softer / more rockered tips.

I think the Wren 108 does everything the Cochise does, but better. It has some camber, and I actually like driving it on groomers, if I find myself on groomers on that ski. It's good in the woods, it's good in open pow fields, it's good in chop, and I have decided I don't need a wider pow ski anymore. The tips float very well, which is something I value, as I like to drive my skis.

If I had to pick something the OG Cochise was better at, MAYBE it has a looser "slarvy" feel due to the flat camber / full rocker profile. But overall, the W108 is amazing.

I have no opinion on the steeple 98. But if you're looking for a similar ski that I can highly recommend, the Praxis Yeti is a winner. I love mine. Been touring on them for a few years now.

My steeple 108's showed up today. I'm excited to get out and try them. Probably going to jump in on the pre-order thing for the shift binding and make them a do all travel ski.

I think the Steeple 98 would make a good spring CO ski, but I much prefer something wider for midwinter use. In ON3P's line, I'd pick the Steeple 116 for most of my touring for sure.

Really liking my 102 Steeple for touring in MT, but don't know that I would want to go much narrower and I'm not sure if the 98 has RES which I really like. If I was ordering from ON3P today I would definitely consider the 108 Steeple since it's not much heavier than the 102. These are not light skis, but not crazy heavy, and so very very good on the down. I have a pair of Elan Lhotse skis for my light/skinny long tour setup.
