I just searched truck driving jobs in Spokane and got something like 280 hits. Could have been more but I just thumbnailed it. The companies also have reviews by employees, kind of a trip advisor thing. They're rated and you can apply right there, on line. I'm not buying the 'poor them' mentality that you've bought in to, lock, stock, and barrel. Good grief, it's not that difficult.
When someone decides to quit being a victim, they won't be one. Until then, they play on saps 'who care' about everyone as though those people don't have choices. Bullshit. They have choices and, in many cases, conning others into supporting them is the choice they make.

I'm not claiming to be mother teresa. I KNOW truck drivers. Personally. I see these guys, not that smart, many from fucked situations, many weird social issues so they cannot interact well and dost other jobs... these guys busting their asses, giving up their whole lives.
And these assholes talk shit about them, treat them as if they have no value to society and don't deserve a decent life, as if they could just go out and get a livable wage job elsewhere. Easy peasy. They cant.
So yeah. It makes me angry.

No, not lucky, just an average kid growing up in Spokane in a blue collar family that had financial issues due to both parents having health issues when I was very young. I just figured out that I wanted to work and found a path that worked for me. Nothing more, nothing less. Just average.

That's not been the rep about Glass Door. For one thing, the reviews sound quite real; many are pretty negative. You just don't want anything to point where you may be ill-informed. It doesn't fit your agenda so you simply deny its existence. Quit being so angry (or trollish) and live life. It's well worth the change in attitude.

She won't shut up until everyone agrees with her. This is projection, it's about her.
I don't think anyone other than a few making jokes have talked shit about truck drivers. People are just talking about how to remedy the situation and that it's actually not forced labor. We could be talking about any job or situation that Mtngrrl has had or been in in the past, you would just substitute ________ for truck driver.

Actually it is and her flippant response is thoughtless. I get cold sores (herpes I) in my sinuses. Started on my mouth where most people get them then to the base of my nose now in my sinuses. Fortunately *knock wood* I don't have an outbreak very often but my doctor has talked to me about this progression and that it is conceivable it could some day spread to my brain (Herpes Meningoencephalitis) which could well be fatal for me.

This thread, like virtually every thread past three pages, is totally off the rails. From a broken radiator to sinus herpes? Interesting drift(s).

Haven't read the thread but a good trick is to pass the truck so you aren't behind it, that way flying debris doesn't hit you.

God damn... brain herpes... Iceman learns about them in jeans. I'm sure PedoHerp69 will chime in shortly to apologize for being so insensitive to the plight of those less fortunate than she is.
Really sorry to hear that KQ (really - snarky side comments not withstanding.)

Popped his cherry! LOL!
Finally - sanity.
Yeah well I could get kicked in the head by a horse too, having this looming over me is just another drop of water in the ocean of death possibilities. Still, it's my special reality and somehow I manage to have a sunny countenance. Huh.“When you see something that is not right, not just, not fair, you have a moral obligation to say something. Actually, it's not flippant it's true. I can smell anymore either. Herpes type 2 in my nostrils and sinuses I've been fighting it for over a year. Dr's finally stopped insisting it was allergies when the allergy test can back negative for everything.
Here type 2. Chainsaw willie a murderer

Well we're just one big happy family then! Eh... what are you going to do? Take your meds, rinse with a NetiMed daily (or more often), eat well, do some yoga and keep a positive attitude to help support your immune system but most of all be good to yourself mentally as well as physically. Life marches on. Can't let these things get in your way. There are people out there with far greater hurdles in their path and they're doing better than me! Gotta keep on going, ain't no looking back!
Edit: Try taking a page from Baloo's book. One of my favs:
