obviously I'm old and out of the loop but I'll ask anyway.....

Why do people always video their rants, etc. when they are in their cars?

How is the that even enforceable if someone takes the dogs when the bitch croaks? Wouldn’t the executor need to get a court order to have the dogs seized and put down?

They did this in ancient Egypt with their cats. Is she Egyptian?

The Sycthian warriors, many of whom were women, were often buried with their horses.

So there's historical context for this.

Are you nervous about what particular strain of post-menopausal batshit craziness your wife develops, after seeing this downright insane request from her mom?

Actually yes. And for my daughter.

Luckily my wife was raised by her crazy nam vet dad and not her mother.

I mean it’s insane selfishness. She honestly thinks that the dogs will be so heart broken when she dies the best thing is to euthanize them.

    Texas.

    Back to my original question.

Can a healthy animal be euthanized by the owners request?

Can I just walk into my vet and have them put down my dog?

I spoke to my vet about this sometime ago and she was disgusted at the thought. She felt no self-respecting vet would do such a thing.

This is exactly what drove my drove my wife away from vet practice into research. There's an even worse variation:
"We're moving and don't want to be bothered with the dog/cat; time to euthanize"
These are the people that used to throw bags of kittens off bridges, or simply throw them out of the moving car. Too many video cameras around to get away with that shit any more.

Good. I was hoping it wasn’t a normal practice.

Who is going to be responsible for carrying out the direction in the will?

It'll probably have to a really persistent kind of bastard to find a vet willing to do it.

Have you thought about sending assisted suicide pamphlets to your MIL?

Well she lives in Houston, is on immune suppressing medication and refuses to stop going to the gym to use the treadmill.

So she’s working on her own euthanasia.

Put them up in gear swap come the time?

    Bernese will be popular.

Maybe Benny will want the wiener?

What does "an eight room farm house mean?" Is it eight rooms total or eight bedrooms?

It usually refers to rooms that are considered habitable/living space (excludes bathrooms). For example, an eight room house might have a kitchen, living room, formal dining room, family room/den, and four bedrooms.
