Not necessary. Just have the second diaper in hand and re-enact the scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark where H. Ford swaps out the idol with a bag of sand. Oh yeah, and use your elbow to keep his pecker pointed down. Or, never change a diaper unless it's really full and warm. Or, someone out there will claim their baby was potty trained at 1 month. What, yours isn't? You must suck.

If I could time warp to age 5, I would have. Other people's kids and Facebook provide enough of those memories in between.

Pretty amazing... From Life Magazine, January 27, 1958.
It seems there was helicopter parenting before there were helicopters:

My youngest is more into Caillou these days which really chaps my ass, cause Caillou's a whiny little bitch. She likes to get down with the doc though too when her big sisters aren't forcing her to watch Old Full House episodes with them. They also all love warm baths and chocolate, sliding on the hill in the backyard and LEGOs.

It's not just that raising kids are too much, it is everything that comes with it. Overbearing grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins. The perpetual cold & flu season from school. The house constantly being overrun with kid shit. No energy for anything beyond kid stuff. Postpartum hormone swings. Dealing with the insane parenting types. Carrying 3 bags of kid shit to go ANYWHERE. Unwarranted judgement from others.

If the only thing I had to deal with was the kids, I'd be fine. There's a lot of baggage that comes with kids.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

Heheh, warn them to stay away from people that do things like this. Unfortunately both of my girls look up to people that do things like this and one of them follows me into EVERYTHING on the mt bike and usually at full speed too

Caillou is the worst. I loved it when John Oliver said this...

Actually, I do have some legit advice: when other parents proudly talk about how their kid started doing X at X age (walking, talking, whatever) - fuck that noise. It doesn't mean shit and doesn't matter even a little bit.

I saw something tonight that could make your Sienna's slightly less un-cool. A real classy sticker. To go next to the stick figure family of course.

Not sure, but I think I'm picking up on a vibe. Not a Pontiac Vibe, but something. I'll wait and see how it plays out.

Haven't read this entire thread.. just the first and last.

Own a sienna. The wife's daily driver.

    It's all wheel drive.

    I have 3 kids.

Seems like that"'s the relevant information.

    As for the original question..

If you have trouble with sleeping, consider your swaddling options. The Miracle Blanket (tm) was just that for our first. Wrap em in a straight jacket and they just pass right out.

It'd be quicker to have a thread where everyone who doesn't drive a fucking Sienna posts.

Let's be honest here... the modern minivan market these days is Sienna or Odessey.

Only 1 of those comes in AWD.

Which one did you think the parents in this place would favor?
