That is slick. I was going to rig up something with a winch, cable and pulleys, but I got the truck right before a trip and didn't have time so I did it with some 2x4s, J-hooks, chain and cam straps. That was supposed to be temporary but it works so well that I never bothered upgrading it.

A retractable truck bed cover is ideal. Retract and it is perfect for wheel over the gate. Close and have safe, dry storage for skis and most winter toys/things.

Tried it for a year. Went back to a topper. I guess I'm just a fake SUV kind of guy.

Isn't a pickup with retractable cover just a car with a huge trunk?

I’m not really sure what a retractable cover is. Could we expand on that please? Like a soft topper?

    Trucks.

A bed with a topper is a mobile shed. Covered storage that you can also sleep in.

$42k for that stick-on mod taco is nuts. Buy my ‘17 for $40k and I’ll throw in a GFC.

Gotcha. I had one of those. Sold it. I can see them being worth it for certain applications. Wasn’t for me.

Easy, Bob. Not saying you’re wrong, just saying it’s dumb.

I did offer mine up for less.

You can say a lot of things about Bobby, but you can’t say he doesn’t know cars and the car market.

Lol at the people arguing here. This is like telling Danno about Colorado water rights, Buster about code or old goat about surgery.

Quoted for truth. Bobby might have questionable taste in Taco.a wheels but he knows his shit.

The old and new bushings. Those old bushings, which are rubber, show a lot of wear for 24k. The new bushings are nylon. This will make for a stiff ride. Getting stoked

It's the TGR way. Fortunately, we have Benny as the universal expert of everything.

If you are accurate and those control arm bushings truly are nylon, they won't last long.

If they are polyurethane, they'll last a long time, and squeak. Grease excessively prior to install.

Drove by the Toyota dealer today, and the lot was almost empty. They didn't even have enough vehicles to do the strategic donut parking around the perimeter trick.

If you don't know, you can do this yourself. There is a process and paperwork but NAFTA and the fact there is a US equivalent model make it possible. I did it with a truck <25 years old that met those criteria.

    ?

You can’t sling bikes over that can you? Even if you could that rear window will likely shatter from bouncing up and down.

Depends on the bike, and your level of creativity. I have a 96 LC and that lower section can take a large bike with Jones H bats over the tailgate.
