Yup. The Tow package came with the 3.92 rear end and limited slip. She can pull!

    Hell yeah.

I think muted said they're called centurions?

Also that one's perfect, you could have a bunch of bodies to attach to the frame, a camper, a van, a truck body like there, and a flatbed mode.

Yeah, Centurion was a company that did a bunch of those conversions. They also did the four door broncos.

Coincidentally my brother just sent me this photo from the Edmonds-Kingston ferry, with the caption:

“Boomer ladies in this Jeep from Oklahoma. Ladies had a tough time driving into the ferry Lady got out and banged her door on the Shelby F150. Guy got out a minute later and inspected to see if there was any damage. He wasn’t happy, but it was a light tap. There’s a solid 3ft between the cars. She was just careless”

My son drove the Baja700 to town yesterday and parked it in a lot. When he returned, there was a sign on the windshield that said, "If you ever want to sell this truck, please call me...Stephanie." L.A. #. I'm thinking $95K.
    Never happened to me before.

    Hey it’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...y-maintenance/

Thankfully, nothing failed catastrophically and caused a fire, which was the main concern of the recall. But the dealer did not yet have the tools needed to disassemble the transmission, so an investigative tear down could not be performed. Nor has the dealer yet received Jeep's latest software update, which addresses the recall issue by supposedly limiting the engine's torque if the clutch gets too hot again.
All this in a rig lacking torque in most of the rev band anyway.

Sorry if this has been covered.

I need new lights for my 2012 Tundra. The housings/lenses are shot. I have tried all the restoration methods. They are toast. Driving at night with no weather is not great. Driving at night with snow or rain is downright scary. There are lots of aftermarket housings/bulb setups.

    Looking for:

    - Not crazy expensive
    - Nice and bright, but not asshole slamming Monsters on backroads with low beams that are like looking into the sun.
    - Not that ghetto blue color that is like fake HID or something

Guessing I actually have to spend more money than I want to though. After having a nice car (Audi) with the factory HIDs it's hard going back to "normal" lights.....especially with shit lenses.

    I will install myself.

Bobcat Sig replaced his but I can’t find where he said he got them. I would suggest after replacing to put those clear protectors on them. My ‘06 have had them on since mile 0 and they look like new.

New truck has arrived. Four months from order to delivery. 2022 F350, XLT, 7.3L gas. Spent a lot of today installing little things and playing with the electronic settings. Need to install camper tie down brackets and am swapping all the shocks and steering stabilizer for Bilstein (and unloading the OEM takeoffs on Craigslist).

    It's ridiculously large.

Sweet. But huge! I guess that won't see the inside of your garage?!?

Might have to pick your brain in a year or two when its new truck time. If I make a move to a truck camper a 7.3 is at the top of the list.

It'll never fit in the garage - part of the reason why I picked a white one, so it won't fade being parked outside its entire existence.

Why not a diesel? Just for curiosity, I’m in no way bashing that sweet, massive truck.

Diesel is another $8K up front, comes with some significant downside risks (very expensive repairs that aren't too uncommon), heavy (reduces payload), and most importantly, I don't need that much power. I'm hopeful that the pushrod V8 (that looks a lot like a GM LS engine) will be reliable. And that the transmission built to hold up behind the more powerful diesel will have no problems behind the gas engine that has half the torque.
