Pfft. I'll be impressed when one of these factory monster trucks can match the 8.8mpg my old late 90's Grand Cherokee got. Until then it's all just a bunch of hippy dippy Greenpeace bullshit.

My F350 gets 7 in 4WD with the hubs locked. 9 in 2wd. Merica.

    I get 14-15 city 17 hwy.

I'm expecting 20 mpg out of the Cummins, and Deahsul only costs 1.70-1.80 now.

Wonder why they didn't go with the Cummins inline 6? Now THAT thing's a beast if you wanna talk about dragging nuts across other trucks' faces. Their new 6.7L I-6 has like 900 lbs of torque.

That tops the Fuelly combined average; in a cooler climate, at elevation, and running in and out of the mountains. Impressive.

I get 9 mpg out of my wagon when my foot's in it. Worse than the 10 I averaged in my 72 bronco with a 351.

    Yeah dude. So fucking tits.

This company is more reasonable, and there is a good chance I will do a F250 conversion, when my critters are bigger and have friends and such.

Also does the Raptor, but I'd take a F250 over a Raptor every time.

I would imagine they are trying to keep the truck lighter, and not try to compete with the towing Rams and the F250s.

The new Ridgeline looks nice, from the press photos. It's not a Real Truck, but it does all the trucky things that most people will ever do with a Tacoma, Colorado, Frontier, or even F150/ Silverado.

The older ones drive and ride much nicer than Real Trucks, because they're basically Honda Pilots with a bed. Friend has one, and it's a perfect vehicle for him -- loves surfing, so has a rack for his boards, and can put the smelly wetsuits in the back. He doesn't need to haul anything heavy, just bulky, wet, and briney.

I have a Real Truck, but don't drive it a lot because of the quality MPG -- 11-12 empty, 10-11 with the camper. Rides like shit because it's a 3/4 ton, and I think the prior owner cranked the torsion bars a bit and put in a rear add-a-leaf. On the plus side, it features plenty of dents and rust, so I don't really care what happens to it.

The gas mileage is the one thing I don't like about my current Titan.
The Titan Warrior will be offered with a big V8 as well as the 5.0 Cummins.

New Colorado and Tacoma are good looking. Too small for me to buy though.

Q: Wanna know how to get 9-10 mpg out of my 4-door 4x4 F350 PSD?

A: Hook a 36' triple slide 5th wheel to the back, turn on max ac, and set the cruise on 70.

    This is crazy. I guess it's the V10 gasser? My E350 Van gets 15-18. It's a 7.3 diesel though.

    Yeah that's more like it.

Commonlaw what the hell kind of wagon are you driving? Must be fast.

The new ridgeline is still a joke. No solid rear axle and shitty clearance. A bit better looking than the old one but still fugly from the front. Looks like a minivan. If all you need to do is pick up the groceries though...

For the first time in my life I would consider a sub-six foot bed now that I have a van for road tripping and sleeping in. Mostly need to carry people and bikes. New Taco's look good. That Colorado looks OK, I thought they were gonna put a diesel in it? That would be a major selling point for me.

edit: OK looks like they do offer a 2.8L duramax. Kicks the shit out Tacoma for mileage, towing and torque. Worse clearance but that can be fixed. Spiffy little truck.

I read the Jalopnik article on the Ridgeline, made me think about a small truck again.
What I want is a 2nd? generation Toyota SR5 4X4 extended cab, (only brand new with Xenons and ABS, etc.)
So, the Colorado is the smallest truck out there?

It's pretty much confirmed that a smallish diesel F150 is coming. Probably not the 3.2 in my Transit, but who knows.

I like how turbo diesels give zero fucks about altitude. OTOH the F150 2.7 gas turbo had a nice fat torque band when I drove it.

Titan needed a facelift. Looks good to me.

Supposedly they have been working with Cummins on a 4 banger diesel for the Frontier.

We went with the Nissan Patrol, 'merica version.

Getting about 12 avg, but it only has 500 miles on it. Drove a loaner with 2700 on it, and the avg mpg was 16. I'll take that.

The Jeep gets 9 on a good day.

The problem with diesels is turbos. Not that they aren't cool as shit, but they lag.

Can-Am cars used to be deathtraps because of turbo lag. They'd bog, then come on like Mothafuckin Jones. This caused drivers to "Fail to negotiate" Gran Prix curves at an alarming rate...
