    Sean Penn and El Chapo

Personally I think Penn, and most self-aggrandizing Hollywood types are assclowns. This story however is really interesting. It tells how he arranged, and did meet with, arguably the most famous fugitive in the world with the help of a Mexican smokeshow actress, some fixers, and the cartel chief's associates. Although some of the articles are saying through anonymous reports that this meeting is what led to the capture of El Chapo it is hard to say just from reading if that's true or not. If it is, I wonder if Penn is living with a bit more anxiety today than he was a few months ago.

The only reason he would be on that panel is because he is a celebrity. Do you subscribe to Us and People magazines?

Probably his best work at least for me. Spicoli was fun too, but falcon was when he was more raw. Bad boys was good too.

If Hugo Chavez was still alive he'd be sooooo jealous of Sean's new boyfriend. Probably turn as red as that favorite sweater of his.

Think Sean is paying someone to start his car from now on?

How would Penn be involved in any of this without his celebrity?

The argument's very circular. Penn has actually done a lot for Haiti earthquake relief, he has spent a lot of time and money there. If he wasn't a celebrity, would he have had the money or the time? Probably not, right? So, is it because he's a celebrity that he has tried to help? Or because he has the means and opportunity and simply cares? Or is he just working on his brand? Difficult to say, right?

I think we can leave it there.

Odd that Penn looks like the grizzled fugitive in that picture while El Chapo looks like he could work for a CPA firm in El Paso.
