I just saw his birthday announced somewhere the other day and was amazed he made it to 70. If you haven't seen the documentary "Lemmy", you should. Like his music or not, that dude was his own man. He was himself. A true original. He honestly didn't give a fuck what anyone thought. I can respect that.
