    Welcome back MD9.

    Been too long.

I was thinking about this the other day too. There are a lot of posters that made this place good BITD, and so many of them left (Alcoholicsillywalk, I'm looking in your general direction, not specifically, but in terms of an example of the awesomeness that you and many others brought here on a regular basis). Even the trolls were more entertaining, rather than simply annoying as they are today; nothing but clickbait generators. I don't have the numbers on the forum visits, but at some point it seems that TGR favoured post hits, and not a quality community. The beginning of the end of something really great, that made the long journey to the middle at an astonishing quick pace.

    tldr; I blame Rob Story.

Holly shit, talk about one of the guys I have missed. Great to see your back J. How are your 2 midgets, getting big yet? Still living in the same cool old house? And ya, the bar, you still have that? So, are you the Mayor of Ogden yet? Looking forward to some great photos of you tearing it up.

Jesus, I've been posting here since 2003? And Powmag before that.

J, it seems like we just talked but you've been gone huh?

That abandoned house next door where you had your fungal adventure/nightmare?
    It burned down.
    Other than that, same-old same-old.

Timely you posted this, saw a recent post from Discrete with your name on it sending a huge road gap and began to remember all the amazing stoke which got me pumped on this place ten years ago, your posts were certainly a part of that!

    Welcome back!

Irul, I wish GT40 was doing better. He's been battling depression for a few years and really having a tough time with it. We all love him to death and try to drag him out of the house whenever we can, but it's been a struggle. I haven't skied with him yet this year, but MOE got in 3 runs with him. He's got some drones on order that have him excited. I hope they get here soon. I think that will get him out of the house and we can film some bad ideas. Yeah, we still have the bar. It's been great. We have a really awesome staff that handles most of the day-to-day. We just handle accounting, promotions, booking, payrolls, etc... It's been a fun venture.

iceman, your refusal to post on Facebook is one of the reason I'm here. Where else will I get daily allotment of snark? BTW, I found out a few years back that I'm immortal. Weird story.

    grskier, sweet. dm sent.

DTM, lucky your wife posts on Facebook or I'd never know what you're up to. Your kiddo looks like a cool dude.

huckbucket, I'll post up some photos in the next little while. I'm still jumping off stuff when the snow says I can. I don't know Joe Strummer off the boards, but definitely remember the name. Stephen S Dallas and phUnk always cracked me up.

jibij, Those were fun years. Remember my headstand helmet slide after 95% of a backflip? Thanks for all the hospitality when I was moving to Denver. It helped a lot. Seriously maggots made my life better so many different times. Karl Stall was huge for me when I moved to St Louis for a year.

hutash, yeah... I'm not sure I could legally drink yet when I started posting on powmag. Now I'm just a couple of sun laps from 40. WTF?

iscariot, Thanks. Yeah, memories of old times, friends, sense of community, etc... all had me waxing nostalgic to come back over and I've got work dialed in enough to have time again. I'll do my best to contribute.

commonlaw, I'll bring the studfinder if you bring the avalanche bacon.

liv2ski, the kiddos are amazing. 7 and 10. I actually jumped over them on Boss Hog the other day. They love skiing, beaches, music and inappropriate humor. Yeah, same house. We finished the basement, added a garage, etc... We bought and fixed up the house across the street as well. We might fix up a few more along the street too. Ha, not Mayor of Ogden nor will I be so long as someone competent is in the role. We have an amazing Mayor right now and he just signed on for another 4 years. I have no business in any political office ever. I enjoy life too much.

zion zig zag, I haven't posted more than 2-3 times on TGR in 4-5ish years. I blame 25th Street for swallowing my life. So glad to be wrapping that up. I'm thinking 2ish months before that's all done. We should do things that aren't related to occupancy loads and fire alarms soon.

Tri-Ungulate, Thanks. Yeah, I've just been working too damn much to stay in touch on here. I'd put in 8-10 hours on properties, hang with the kiddos and jump back into computer work once they were in bed for another 3-4 hours. 4ish years ago I bit off way more than I could chew and it was a huge task to come out the other side intact.

natty dread, that's crazy. That was one of my favorite parties. 4th of July at your place can't be beat. I think I've bought and fixed that same house in Ogden a dozen times now. Sweet, stoked to hear you'll be at Crystal.

    Lexi-Bell, Thanks.

It's good, I've enjoyed watching the FB adventures. I think we all got busy with life and work. I mostly just lurk now as I haven't really skied much for ~4 years due to Tahoe being dry then moving back and focusing on parenthood.

It was great to connect off the boards a number of years back on some design work. Your posts years ago spray painting your gear always stuck with me. We did the same thing. Didn't have two nickels for new gear. Kinda epitomized this place for me, especially when it actually looked like it turned into some good things for you. Awesome.

Tap, right on. I remember you deep pow posts from Bachelor.

Skifishbum, I've seen Spector 3 times this week. I'll be sure to tell him you said "hi". I'll be running into Hutch tonight and will do the same. Count me in for some turns. You were always a gracious host and tour guide of Soli.

ZZZ, sounds good. The discussion should take place in gondolas or a skin track if we can get GT out with his new drones.

schuss, yeah. It's been a rough stretch in Utah for snow too. However, this year is feeling more like the old days.

TyWebb, Ha yeah. That's right. I think I still get the occasional email from your company. Looks like it's going well. Yeah, I was always super frugal with gear. My first real twin tips were super early Line Darksides that had topsheet blemishes so they sold them for $100. I skied them exclusively for the first 2-3 years of the boards. They eventually snapped in two on a Mt Hood summer park trip.

Damn, that is very sad to hear. Hard to reconcile that image with the memories I have where he always has a huge smile on his face. I hope things get better for him.

She's definitely my social media coordinator. I thought about signing up for FB a couple years ago, but the handful of people from high school and college I was interested in connecting with weren't on there so I didn't see the point since Liz is already FB friends with everyone from my Utah life. Sam is an awesome little dude for sure

If you guys get out for a tour later this year give me a shout. I haven't skied north of Millcreek in a long time and would love to again. I probably won't be healed up enough for it until March, but I'll be chomping at the bit by then and looking to make up some lost time.

Threads like this are a trip with all of the 'old guard' miraculously finding it and replying in very little time when they haven't been seen in the longest time.
