    Pow: how does this word make you feel?

    When someone says "pow", how does it make you feel? Not "the pow" or even qualifying it as "some pow", just simply "pow". It could alternatively be said "pow-pow" with a variety of emphasis.

    What emotions does it conjure? What memories does it evoke?

    Worse than just saying Powder, better than "Blower", wayyyy better than "POW POW".

    White Room seems tolerable, used in the right context.

    Either way, if you use any of these, you are probably just bragging, which sucks anyways. If they were with you, you wouldn't even need to describe the conditions. Epic would suffice.

    Because most of these young kids would rather watch mindless shows with some boobies than just a show about nothing...

    Too bad...I kinda liked to say it for those truly epic days. Now I can't bring myself to say it.....which is probably for the best.

    Ps. I have a fuckton of epic pins. KBD

    I think I use epic and pow on a regular basis because of all my epic slaying of powpow

    and pussy.

    But for real it's gotta be nice getting rewarded with pins for all the 'epic' skiing most regular people encounter on a typical day, proving it was seriously epic.

    Glad my feelings are shared by a select few. Honestly, I hate it when most people say powder. They just don't get it or know what they are talking about. If it isn't light and dry, it isn't powder. Certainly, stop calling it pow. Invariably, people will identify types of snow based on their experience, and many have just not experienced real powder. What a shame.

    Non-profit idea: Give Kids Powder. Take them on weekend flights to specific snow events to educate them on real powder using donated small planes as if it was an organ donation or Make A Wish. Bad idea over.

    I disagree. If it's fresh snow and as long as it isn't heavy mank, it's powder. Given that you ski Tahoe I would have assumed you felt the same way. Did you get up there in the past week? Did that count as powder or not?

    Powder = Sure.
    Pow = Sometimes, say if you're typing on a phone.
    Pow-Pow = Never.

    The college kids here in Flagstaff like to say Pow Pow Gnar Gnar, fuck that drives me nuts. Nothing about Powder skiing is Gnar Gnar. I do say Pow skiing but the quad combo makes me grind my teeth and clench my jaw. It just sounds like a dumb kid trying too hard to me and I find that irritating.

    Not powder. I have only recently relocated to Tahoe skiing. It is out of necessity and not preference. I will say it is better than most of the snow I have ever seen in WA.
