Got one like that at Mammoth last year, first day out on new skis. The pow was worth it though.

^^^sometimes that is what grabs the ptex. Go fast and rise above. Hoping to get a Baldy day in April. And some lower east side. Looking like the best season done there since 11/12, which was barely enough to make turns.

Funs spring turns today at Baldy and nice skiing with Twins & DeepDays.

Looked bad from the bottom of chair 1:

Thunder had some snow, but not much:

    San Antonio bowl looked cooked:

Deep Days enjoying Andy's after we side stepped over scree to get to it:

Don't think they will be running chair 3 after this weekend. With no wind and the high temps, the window seems to be ~11 to ~3. Hopefully more storms on the way.

FWIW, might post up gopro of severe deathchatter at 10am (tried to beat the traffic). Agreed on the noon-earliest point!

Also FWIW, Twins and I discussed snow summit or bear mtn next thurs. will post up next wk.

Bueller? Thinking probably bear mountain, about 12-ish to three-ish tomorrow. Have a firm deadline to be back in San Diego by 630, but hoping for a nice warm laid-back afternoon.

Should be fun there. Head to Geronimo for some fast turns. Mountain High closed today until we get more snow
I left all my gear at Mammoth yesterday so that should bring some snow locally this weekend<antijinx....

It really sucks to see this happen to Baldy. I know you try never to get your hopes up, but I really thought this year would end the drought. I did get some good turns in, so I can't complain too much, but I thought I would be able to go every weekend I didn't go to Mammoth. Last weekend was the first weekend in a while when I didn't go to Mammy and of course Baldy is done for now. Hopefully we will have a miracle March.

Looks like that was the case??? Bummer, as I'm headed south in two weeks. Was hoping for some snow down there or lower Eastside.

Well just got back from HWY2 theres some fun stuff still back there. nice and soft like Cream cheese. There was more ridable lines then I thought there would be. I'll post some pics once I up load them. 1st day Cal trans made us turn around on our mtn bikes. they told us it was cool on sat. so ended up riding Baden had to down hike 500 vertical at the end of the run. the next day road our bike probably 5 miles plus past the road close sign. to say the least it was a lot of fun. will make a edit soon to share.
