    RIP Scott Weiland

    http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...at-48-20151204

Scott Weiland, the dynamic stage presence and instantly recognizable voice behind Stone Temple Pilots' and Velvet Revolver's biggest hits, has died. He was 48. Weiland's manager confirmed the news to Rolling Stone. The details surrounding the singer's death will be released Friday.

Weiland passed away in his sleep on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, according to an official Instagram post. TMZ is reporting that Weiland was found dead on his tour bus in Minnesota at around 9 p.m. Thursday night, while touring with his current group the Wildabouts. They were scheduled to perform at the Medina Entertainment Center in Medina, Minnesota Thursday night. The show was canceled before they were to hit the stage.

It's too bad his addiction couldn't be overcome. Heroin seems to take all the good ones. RIP

So sad. I saw STP in the 90s and wow did Scott Weiland rock the stage. Sadly though, while it was reported that he had finished rehab and was doing well, when I saw him perform (in which he was freaking amazing) I couldn't help but think that no way was he off the drugs.

Although it hasn't been released as to his cause of death, I'm sure we all have a strong feeling as to what was the culprit. Even if he WASN'T currently doing heroin and stuff, all that stuff plus his overall lifestyle for the past 3 decades certainly takes a toll on ones heart.

Another sad loss. I always loved their music.

Edit: And always turned to 11!

I actually dig VR more than Stone Temple Pilots. Slither was one of the first songs I learned on guitar.

This sucks, but honestly I'm surprised he made it this long.
    RIP Scott. You rocked.

Someone post the MTV Unplugged of STP.
Forget it...I'll figure out how to do it myself in memory of you Mr. Weiland.

Just got done watching it. Good memories.

I can only imagine what kind of train wreck a lot of modern popular "bands" would be if they tried to do an unplugged performance.

I think I saw them back at one of the Lollapolloozas or Festivals back in the early/mid 90s. Memories are fuzzy due to drink and drugs.
