RIP Scott...
Having moved to the Seattle area in the late 80's, you and STP (MJY at the time) were the first live act that I would catch introducing and ultimately immersing me into the burgeoning PNW grunge culture and all that it meant at that time. A permanent part of my play list, your music legacy lives on.

It's wild how, despite passing so young, these guys like Scott W, P. Seymour Hoffman, Kobain and many others manage to impact so many. Pollinating bees of our culture.

What's funny about that?

Saw Billy Corgan's eulogy/post in response to Weiland's death. He ended it with that he's always thought that the preeminent voices of their era were Weiland, Kurt, and AiC's Layne Staley.
I still call it The Jake.

Sad, but not unexpected. Saw the STP show in Missoula in '94. Great show. Word was that Weiland was spotted shooting up behind Charlie's bar later that night.
Strange coincidence, but tomorrow I am going to a memorial service in Missoula for a friend and former roommate, also 48 years old, who also succumbed to substance abuse. Started the Board of Missoula snowboard shop back in the late '80s, basically brought snowboarding to the town and Snowbowl. Sucks when people die so young. RIP.

It's Billy Corgan, you either love him or hate him.
