Suicide and Concussions
my wife's 19 year old nephew killed himself today. he had stacked a number of concussions a few years back, and it more than likely contributed to his depression.
college kid from Minnesota, whom everyone loved.

Hockey related concussions? Either way, suicide is worst for those around because they feel guilty for not preventing it somehow. Extremely hard. Vibes to your family.

Terrible news and difficult for all, sorry for your loss.
Went through the same thing couple thanksgivings ago, broke bread with a bright young man, future bright. He was unable to deal with his pain

Stay strong for your family during these hard times Butta. Depression is a cruel mistress.

++++ Vibes ++++
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

We are all guilty of being blind to one another’s pain. Find solace in the strength it takes to share and love in meaningful ways.
Peace to you and all that care

yes, he was a total Minnesota kid, lived for hockey and water skiing
big strong guy, who had a bad run of concussions, playing the game he loved. when they told him he would never play again, it took something from him.
his symptoms were bad, constant nausea and depression, they changed his medication recently and it sent him into a spiral.
my wife comes from a large family, and it's hard to even breathe right now, vibes to anyone who has ever had to deal with suicide.
thanks for the kind words and thoughts, it's fucking brutalcrab in my shoe mouth

It's fucken hard to be 19, concussions or not. Far too many young kids/adults take their lives.
Peace
