Opening Day at Eaglecrest! The snow up top is quite good and so far we have avoided the warmth and rain.

Our lower elevation snow got a little cooked from rain, and it's a little warm down here right now with rain. Our night time lows should be cold enough for snow, I hope.

Back from Utardia. Snow is still falling, but the snow line remains around 1200-1500ft, higher in areas with thick trees. Skied the soup kitchen this morning.

Ha! My fiancee was just looking at some high paying RN travel gigs in Ketchikan. Trying to convince her to find a gig in Juneau to make heli-season easier. Sounds as though you like the hospital/situation?

Great pictures by the way, don't see much coming from Ketchikan. It's gotta be fat somewhere with all the moisture moving through.
    Drive slow, homie.

Carroll Inlet is good to go, just need longer days to make it worth spending some nights out up there.

Eaglecrest is skiing really well right now. A couple of inches of snow every night is making a huge difference.

Got about 1-2 ft of new snow at sea level just behind town. Good skiing, bluebird, fun times. Now we have some high elevation rain coming............

Well, they downgrade the "atmospheric river" out of the forecast, so I guess that's good news; At least you have latitude on your side.

So far the atmospheric river is coming down as puking snow at sea level. Thus far, the weather forecasters were wrong with the thought it might rain to sea level.

Went over and thrashed around on Gravina Island today.

Tamgas Mtn on Annette Island is looking ready.

Mahoney Mountain SE couloir. No new snow for two days, cold temps, clear skies, plenty of snow to ski to sea level.

No, but Atlas gloves are nice for the rain forest bushwack.

Over a week without snow and a long stretch of bluebird.............warm and wet on the way. Probably going to rain/snow a bit up high, but definitely rain down low.

In my life I have seen the "Hemingway" jacket advertised and it did not have the proper qualifications to meet your expectations. I do suspect that many aspects of S.E. AK do have those.
