This is the Green in western North Carolina. The Narrows section to be exact.

racing down that piece of water is like a chinese downhill through Corbett's Couloir...
those SE paddlers are a burly lot...Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown

My skills limited me to taking out at Narrows put in....but I do know running Gorilla bottom side up is not recommended.

2017 Green Race sees great crowds and wicked rapids. WLOS - For the past twenty-two years, the first Saturday in November has brought hundreds of extreme kayakers to the Green River Narrows to compete in one of the toughest tests on the water.
