Yossarian made a good point in the other thread.

Mustard is better on most sandwiches than Mayo.

Debunked, yes, but maybe it was from personal experience and experimentation?

The problem I've found is that the jar opening is always too small.

For most of my life I would have said mustard, hands down. But, I recently discovered how easy and absofuckinglutely delicious homemade mayo is. Go with the ying-yang solution and put one on each slice.

Mayo is sick. If you leave it in the sun it turns into poison... you are not supposed to eat poison. Mustard rules!

    Mustard does in fact rule.

However I would like address "leaving mayo in the sun." my friends and I did extensive research in this field while they were at UMass and living in Florence. The mayo actually becomes "mayon" which is a highly unstable element that has not yet been recognized by the scientific community and has not been added to the periodic table of elements. The half-life of mayon is roughly 2.2333333333333333repeating minutes, cuz after that the smell makes you barf uncontrollably. Do not touch mayon. It is highly corrosive and will cause chemical burns. our field research pretty much ended then because we ate a bunch of mushrooms and went to a keg at some apartment. the next morning...the mayon was gone, possibly stolen by terrorists to make a super-powerful bomb, possibly thrown in the trash....still not sure on that one.

Chief executive officers at 367 top U.S. corporations were paid, on average, $431 last year for every $1 paid to their companies' average production worker, according to publicly available information jointly compiled in September by Institute for Policy Studies and United for a Fair Economy. In 1990, the ratio was about $100-to-$1. (If the federal minimum wage had increased since 1990 by the same rate as the multiple for CEOs' pay, it would have risen from $5.15 an hour to $23.03, but, of course, it's still $5.15.) I think the only thing that changed on the original thread was the removing of the little intro that was there, but I just added a little sentence. Otherwise nothing is new.

Not that I know what you're talking about.

    Anyone watch America's Test Kitchen?

Tasters consistently praised Hellmann's and Kraft because they tasted like "what mayonnaise should taste like." Paul Rozin, a noted food psychologist from the University of Pennsylvania, wasn't surprised by our findings. "A blind taste test isn't blind to your past," he said. "The participants" first exposure to a food will usually become their standard to judge all others against. In the case of mayonnaise, many people grew up eating Hellmann's and Kraft. People like familiar tastes."

Try mixing mayo, a little salt, sesame oil and some cayenne; spread on ahi and grill as usual.

    Excellent.
