^ Great job with the BCZERO kick off portion of the event. Really enjoyed it as a great way to start thinking about the upcoming season. Made me wish I had attended the full event, so next year I will for sure.

Pass is closed right now. Was fucking nuking especially on the western slope on my drive home. Curious to see what this does on top of the surface hoar.

Living in Driggs this season. Was up the pass two weekends ago and at Targhee Saturday and Edelweiss Sunday. Was going to run a sunrise lap up the 'ghee tomorrow but I may hold off depending on conditions. Surface hoar was large and sparkly and pretty yesterday...

Agreed. The sentence on the avy report yesterday about surface hoar formation with faceting in shallower areas had me concerned. Could be an interesting base.

We took out the rest of edelweiss. Dug some hasty pits where we saw a lot of surface hoar development on Sunday in the river gully and it looked like the storm came in warm enough to crush/absorb it. New surface hoar development was already starting this afternoon.

Yeah I didn't notice it distinctly in the brief hand pits I dug in chivers either.

Question for locals - will the new Teton lift have a BC access gate at the top? New map shows one and that should be right on top of Air Force......not the best scenario for keeping tourons out of granite. The traverse out alone will crush them.
why make ten turns when you only need to make NONE!

Desk jockey looking for dawn patrol partners for the pass especially once we get a little more coverage. I'm not fast on the ups but try not to drag ass either. Shoot me a pm!

From what I have heard there will be a gate a short hike uphill from the lift but it wont be on the trail map this year. Looks like the gate is on the trail map on the JHMR app but not on the map on the website, haven't seen the paper maps yet. There has also been talk of various signage and possibly a video at the gate. Don't know what has been finalized. There was a bunch of discussion with the forest service about the new gate.
