    Dawn Patrol today was disappointing. The wind did a number on everything we saw that faced North, and everything that didn't the sun destroyed. Storm can't get here soon enough

    Highway 210 closure Gate B through the town of Alta at 600am Saturday 1/30/2016. Backcountry closure from Lisa Falls through Grizzly Gulch beginning 1200am Saturday 1/30/2016, backcountry from White Pine parking lot on S side of rd remains open. Estimated time of reopening 0830am Saturday 1/30/2016. Possibility of earlier rd. closures weather depending.

    LCC backcountry access Lisa Falls through Monte Cristo will remain closed from now until 0830am Sunday 1/31/2016. White Pine backcountry access on South side of road will remain open. Possible mid canyon control work during the day today 1/30/2016

    Had upper Cardiff to myself, yesterday.



    Best to start at the top. Instabilities were limited to surface sluffing.
    Light snow and increasing east wind in the afternoon.

    Just found out about Steve. Say a prayer for his kids and wife. My kids are really messed up at the passing of their friends dad. Freakin Sucks!
