EAST COAST ROLL CALL #9 Find the time to ski those lines!

The force awakens strong this fall with UllR providing an early snowfall for ULLRfest. Killington also spins first in North America.

I hope everyone is ready for a great season this year. Think of that one quest that has always evaded you and make it happen this winter.

Some helpful weather links cat in january posted last season:

    STORM TRACKING MAPS
    Radar

JS is itching to post some pictures of fast grass action. And as always promoting the ESAW event so I'll bring this forward.

    Time for another ESAW update!

All the details I've been posting about previously are now up at the revised website:
    http://www.esaw.org

But if you plan to attend, please pretty please (Please PLEASE) register here:
    http://www.esaw.org/2015-registration/
... for the presentations and dinner now Now NOW!!!
    (Was that sufficiently subtle?)

    More specifically ...
The new venue at the Mount Washington Hotel Grand Ballroom will be spectacular, BUT it comes with a complicated set of financial commitments.

The more accurate the head count we have ahead of time via on-line registration will help us walk the fine line between having enough food for everyone (both during breaks throughout the presentations, and then after that so we don't have to turn anyone away from the dinner) versus over ordering and running at a loss (which would necessitate a price increase for 2016).

    Last winter remembered

Nice Vt-Freeheel. Good to see the weather maps up.

Warren Miller film in Portland is comping Sugarbush, Smugglars Notch and Burke tickets.
Looks like a good film from the clip-might even stay past intermission. Will be the first time skiing in Vt in a long time.

Did not go to SR yesterday as they could not manage T2B and I did not want to be riding a chair that was stopping for downloading. Good to see skiing starting so early. 100 day season here we come.

edit here is a picture from Katahdin yesterday-not mine

Between this thread starting and the signup for our local ski swap opening up, I'm getting ready for this season whether I want to or not.

I've tasted the Plakon from the Plakonator.

I will align with the Jedi of the East.

I pledge to take the message of the Eastern Alliance on endeavors to other parts of the maggot kingdom and share in the kindred karma with the gifted and the heathen. I will push to snow capped heights I have seen and yet to see and appreciate the positivity of others. I will continue my appeal to Ullr to deliver Cold Smoke for ALL!

I guess it's time to put the fishing gear away for the season...if the snow is anywhere near as good as the fishing was this summer we will all have big grins.

Cheers to a great season all and looking forward to getting out with some of the new locals in the neighborhood.

VTF- Well done on the Mohawk meatstick holder.

Yeah yeah! Looking forward to sharing stoke, beers and good times! First snowfall in Montreal this past Saturday (ok so it rained right after, but it's something!).

Wishing everyone a safe and awesome snow sliding season.
