    Ugh, just fucking ugh.

Petrics, come back and give the slightest bit of legitimacy to the ecrc, or don't. Can't blame you.

That's what the shadow looks like of two skinny middle-aged guys trying to pose for a picture capturing their skinny ski gear and the snowy slope while attempting not to either fall over or slide down the hill.
    (Marginal success on all counts.)

Speaking of which, that long shadow is indicative of the low angle of the sun upon that lift pod at this time of year for most of the day, and hence the excellent snow retention up there.
Even with just some occasional nights that dip below the magical 27F wet bulb temp, I think Killington will reopen -- and stay open -- despite all the warm daytime temps coming up.
(Okay, so that's not the most super-psyched projection, but just wanted to counter some of the wx gloom & doom.)

X-post from the Magic thread. Finally got around to finishing my season edit from this year. Been having so much fun with bikes the past few months I had to remind myself that snow is fun too.

I don't have much of a reason to be down that way much in the winter, but there are some promising MTB trails in Columbia Country (BeeBee Hill State Forest). Some cool other stuff in the vicinity as well.

Beebeehill is awesome. If you wanna drive a little head over to the Catskills and check out elm ridge, round top.

Anyone know of a good physical therapist in the southern NH/Merrimack Valley area? Tweaked my shoulder climbing the other week and it's still not back to 100% so I'd like to work with someone to make sure that I'm good to go for ice season.

Someone here recommended John Pallof when I hurt my knee in the Spring, but I'm looking for someone who accepts insurance.

Nice. It's been many a moon since I've been to Magic, but it's my kind of place. Broke my ankle on Slide of Hands-in-my-pants (caught it on a cut sapling 1" above snow level). Can't wait to go back.

My friend broke his ankle there as well.... It always was a nightmare with the punji sticks there in low tide conditions. I haven't skied there since 01 which was an epic year for S.VT. It seems like the punji sticks are less of a problem these days.
