    TR-WROD in Japan today

I got more turns than you did today. Here's a little stoke from Japan today. Snow Town Yeti is the first to open here because they have refrigerated snow making. http://www.yeti-resort.com/en/
Just being on the snow again

The trees are changing here, but the temps are not getting below 32 yet.

Not too many people showed up because is was raining in the morning. It was cool to see people dress up and having fun. The craziest thing I saw was a guy that read the newspaper while snowboarding.

I'm bumping my thread because I posted some mutherfucking stoke! I didn't post some inane question about what ski to buy for March at Chestnutt Mountain Resort. No, no one here will hook you up with cheap lodging at Chestnutt Mountain Resort! Fuck ya'll, what happened here?

I'm not sure really. I know that the temps have not been below freezing here. There was a large machine next to the slope churning out "snow".

You clearly do care about WROD if you opened this thread which is obviously about how cool I am for skiing a small patch of shitty manmade snow.

If the humidity is low you can make snow about 32.

The humidity is definitely not low here. I left some envelopes on my desk. The next day it looked like I had poured water on them. Opening day the overnight low was in the 40's. This stuff is truly manmade. The ski area is at around 3300ft and I still don't think we have had a freeze.

For the record it is Chestnut with one T not two TT's and I'd be happy to answer any questions Definitely go with the Brahma or Bushwacker for March schralping.

Sweet TR. They are going to get leaves ground into that snow once they fall off. I think they had one of those refrigerated ice crunchers running in the SE a couple years ago. Must cost a small fortune to run.

I think they probably still are making money. The place seems pretty busy. Its next door to a really weird rundown amusement park call Grinpa. It kind of contributes to the surreal experience. http://www.grinpa.com/en/attraction/sylvania/index.html

I met a cool guy on Tele gear there. It turns out he is a helicopter pilot that works on the same base as me. Now I have someone to tour with.
