Friends have some property near central WI that has a stream ~50' from the house, beautiful clear water. It's not often that I eat fish from the river, I'm more of a catch and release guy. But these fish were a gift from people that asked for access to the river from my friends property... so we cooked 'em up

They were pretty tasty but your stuffed brook trout idea sounds great

No, the kebabs have been roasted, then I boil the marinade, and then dunk the grilled stuff in the marinade before eating.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

    Yeah, that looks good! Crispy...

For our salad last night we had nopales (prickly pear cactus pads), with tomatoes, cilantro and olive oil, and home made pistolet bread.

I just cooked up a pan of mushrooms and finished them with about 2tbsp of balsamic vinegar. I'll be doing that again.

thanks, sent to wifey. we'll do that next time we cook chicken.

we did boletes with smoked steelhead marinated in brown sugar/soy sauce/Sriracha.

and the sponge on the bolete is one of my favorite parts - we eat a lot of them and I've never thought to cut them out. love the texture.
