Just curious M - are those Made-in carbon steel pans... I have bought both their carbon, stainless and one non stick and love them all... So much better than the shit we bought from big box stores... My carbon pans were treated with oil and Made-in said thoroughly clean them to rid them of the protective coating... Once clean be sure to pre season...

Yeah, Made-in. Lots of favorable reviews online so giving them a shot. Hoping to replace non-stick Le Creusets if I can get the seasoning right.

Carprese look great. On of my favorites when the tomatoes are on.

Didn’t want to go to the store today. Too damn hot. Found a sirloin in the fridge that I marinated and out in kabobs. Had it with some pita the wife made this cucumbers topped with fresh dill from the garden diced garden tomatoes and onions with a sprinkle of feta. Pretty simple but turned out great.

Some good looking food in here.

Not going to bother with a picture and fuck up the timing, but I'm having a double order of eggs benny with a steak filet oscar, avacado and asparagus and of course, homemade hollandaise over all.

Oh man... love Hermiston watermelons. Got one cut up in the fridge right now. Cantaloupe are pretty darn tasty too but yeah... stay the f-away from Hermiston and Umatilla County.

The little ones are the best
Cut them in half and slice a sliver off the ends so they sit up on their own
    Scoop out flesh
    Blend and strain
    Mix with vodka or tequila
Serve in watermelon shells with a long straw

I need some steak knives. Nothing fancy, just functional. Would prefer to stay under $40 for a set of 6. Thoughts on serrated vs. non-serrated? Watcha got?

    A couple I'm pondering:
    https://www.amazon.com/Bellemain-Pre...563484&sr=8-12
    https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-C55...84&sr=8-9&th=1
    https://www.amazon.com/Emojoy-Stainl...563484&sr=8-49

edit: I'm impatient, bought the Emojoys. Will report back.

I don't have a Prime membership so I can spend time in actual stores like some Plebian

The Cuisinarts just looked too cheap to stomach. The Bellemains were pretty well rated by ATK, but seemed a tad big and there were lots of reports of them rusting in under a month in the reviews. The Emojoys are X50CrMoV15 steel and the worst thing anyone had to say about them in the reviews was that they were "hard to clean" whatever that means. With the coupon they were $23 for a set of six and next-day delivery. For that price they could be completely shot within a year and I'll still get my money's worth.

    Any tips would be appreciated.
