Made a giant pot of Turkey noodle soup Thanksigiving evening and yesterday. Definately the best chicken/turkey soup I've ever made.
Simmered the entire carcass with celery, carrots, leeks, onions, herbs and a little chicken boullion for a total of about 10 hrs. Strained and reserved the broth, cooled overnight, removed the fat and put in fresh turkey, carrots, celery and onions. Dropped in a package of fantastic egg noodles and put it outside to cool.
Warmed some up today and added sliced avocado and a healthy squeeze of fresh lime juice. Served with a piece of hearty buttered bread. Fantastic! If only my kids would try soup!

Roasted acorn squash with sausage, apples, pecans, green beans, carrots, and celery then topped with panko and olive oil
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
Cletus: Duly noted.

More beef. I can't help myself. It's not even a fancy meal but I audibly groaned nonetheless. Snake River NY strip

Has anyone made naan at home? Indian takeout was great, naan is better fresh.

Yes, no tandoor but a hot oven suffices. The recipe I used was like pizza dough with yogurt and cumin. Toasted cumin seeds on top. Very tasty.

Yup.
Sourdough naan to boot, cooked in cast iron.

These had cheese and eggs so they browned much more and much faster than waffle iron hash browns. The "loaded" part also included grated ham and scallions.

Speaking of serious eats recipes, we did Kenji's fried fingerling potatoes with garlic, parsley, and butter tonight, accompanied by (our first ever!!) roast chicken w/carrots, fennel, and then also pan fried giblets.
i'm fucking stoked
