Rest easy fellas, we've actually got a great Italian pasta shop and market that makes a killer mozzarella di bufala. I've been there twice in as many days.

I'm glad the backyard basil plants are kicking on all cylinders right now.

Once peaches come in out here, I like this one:

We have a rice cooker, but we rarely use it, since most of the time we are adding other things to the rice and cooking it on sautéed onions and garlic (or tomato sauce).

Rice with meatballs in chipotle and tomato sauce.

Quite the mortar and pestle. Beauty.

The bag of dog biscuits looks a little conspicuous amongst your ingredients.

Mrs L2S is making her World Famous lasagna tonight. I made chicken fajita's last night and on Tuesday night my daughter made her World famous Cioppino. Needless to say, we eat and drink well and I am struggling to lose any fucking weight in this house. I may need longer skis

My aunt gave me one of my grandma's molcajetes. This was probably the first time they were used to make salsa in 25 years.

The biscuits add a little crunch, you know?

I was thinking of hunting down your dive bar on my way through Sacramento yesterday but my instincts led me astray.

I really need to try those some time... we usually end up with a crapload of green tomatoes at the very end of the season, and I generally just let them ripen slowly in the house. But that looks damned good.

So, that doesn’t look like a batter it was dipped in? More like a crumb thing on either side? That looks pretty good can we get a recipe for that thing?

Baby Back Ribs on the pellet grill.....

....with some collard greens, smoked 5 bean salad, baked potato, and rosemary cornbread muffins.

    The cat is unimpressed.

Thicc slices, little salt, quick dusting of white flower, egg wash with a little Louisiana hot sauce mixed in, panko bread crumbs, pan fry with butter till they're singing

Aw shucks, check out my peaness (with morels and basil butter)

Then, I toss my own salad, thanks. Nasturtiums, arugula, arugula flowers and cheating with a little store bought romaine (the heat wasted ours).
