PSA for Washington Mags - Clothing Sample Sale

Thought I'd pass the word along - my former employer, Mountain Equipment is having a sample sale. Lots of Goretex, Down, softshell, etc etc. I think they plan on having a range of sizes but the bulk will be a Men's Large and a Women's medium. They are a huge brand in Europe but underdogs here. Good, well made product. Compare to the very best brands like Arc'teryx, Patagonia, and Mammut. I've hooked a bunch of mags up with stuff and most all have been super happy with it.

    Sale is:
October 16 Friday 3 PM to 6 PM
October 17 Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM
Samples, non-current and discontinued product with discounts up to 70% off of retail pricing.

Sale is in Peshastin, which is 5 minutes from Leavenworth. This also happens to be the same weekend as Octoberfest. So you can come for the gear sale and stay for the bratwurst and beer. (And slutty girls in too tight drindels.)

Totally worth the drive for Seattle mags. I'm going to miss it for the first time in years.

That'll go perfect with your arctic cat snowmobiling suit for ultimate mission ridge steeze.

^ To be fair that could be half the people at Mission. But it sure beats the jeans and WSU hoody I wore up there last year!

Huh. In all seriousness, I could be in the market for a 3 layer gore neon green or blue or some loud color fartbag/onesie at 70% off.

Can I expect to see something like that at this sale?

Yes on the neon, the 3 layer gore and even matching pants and jacket (simulating that euro fartbag look). But if you wish enjoy your effluence all day, I don't think they make suit that will allow the scents to be fully contained.

Bump for deals on good gear. I just stopped by the office, looks like they'll be clearing out a ton of nice down jackets, some synthetic/down hybrid stuff, and full spread of waterproof shell jackets and pants. Neoshell, Gore and 20k/20k proprietary stuff.

Let me know if you need anything. I'll likely be hitting it up after work. Totally worth every drop of gas. I'm gonna be broke.

OP they take cards right or is it cash only?

Just asked - I think they may be able to take cards now but not 100%

I just got confirmation - they will be taking cards.

Also, peddling skis or other gear swap wares in the parking lot is perfectly acceptable so you can have cash to satisfy new gear fixes.

But I think they'd prefer anything more desperate than that to be done off site.

I just checked out the final take. They have some warranty return jackets that are $30... that retailed for $250. Lots of Brand New Goretex Pro stuff in the $200 range.
