Vermont-New England Fall Foliage TR
I'm going to take a page from Smmokan and start up a foliage thread for Vermont-New England rather than stuffing pictures in the Pic of the Day thread.
A record warm September led to a really late start here but things have really gotten in gear over the last several days:

I had 27 degrees at the house this morning and everything was frosty white. Color is still emerging and the hard frost should help it get closer to peak.
Some crazy cloud layers around the Passumpsic River Valley this morning caused by temperature inversions.

Good stuff NEK, particularly like the shadows in the last one. Mind if I contribute a couple? Finally got around to buying a 9 stop ND for blurring water, so went out to a local stream to play around. Still a bit off peak here, but heading up to the folks' place in VT this weekend where it should be a bit further along. Will have more to share then.

Nice! I've been wanting a ND filter for a while now. It would have come in handy for some shots I was taking tonight.

Beautiful photos NEK! Love the cows. These are certainly not in the same league but I figured you might enjoy. A few from the South...

And a couple from around town here in NH. VT is way better foliage wise. Too many white pines and oaks around here and too few maples.

Nice shots Rusty and Geo! It ended up being a better foliage season than I expected with the tardiness of the color change.

Some great shots in here! I flew between Boston and NYC yesterday afternoon, and the view over the hills was incredible.... orange and red for as far as I could see from 30k feet. I might have to spend some time up there very soon.

Nice collection guys. I took TOO DAMN many photos this fall. While I sort them out, here is one to hold you over that I took yesterday after the snow fell. The remaining leaves were pouring out of the trees as the temps were in the teens.

One more. My favorite place anywhere. That little white house is the neighbors. My family's place in tucked in there nearby. There's a bit of land out back.
