I apologize I have been away for four years, it has been too long. Looks like I will be back for most of the month of March. The snow will return this year.

I prefer Bruce Lee to Gozilla, but YMMV.

Cool we had a bit of a dusting. Pretty standard. Too bad it's back to fire weather this weekend.

Good link to add for all of the places in the area that offer avy classes: http://www.sierraavalanchecenter.org/education

Maybe if there's an actual snow pack to study I can finally get my AIARE 1. I've been wanting to do it for four years now... should have back in 2011 when I had the chance.

Warm in Santa Cruz pockets today. Gonna get hot this weekend with the local mountains aiming for 99 this Sunday. Not really feeling like snow weather. One final last summer blast. Gulf of Alaska is getting active. I predict hot to warm through first week of November, followed by a 3-4-5' dump of cement with a thin layer of cream cheese frosting and a dusting if powdered sugar. Old school style switch. For now, I'm waiting for some surf.

Who's going to South Lake Avy Workshop? Sold out last year, bigger venue this year.
I don't know who's presenting yet, will post up if I get details.

I think it's the year of the bukake dragon, but the voices in my head are still talking it over. Props to PD. Thank goodness still enough brain cells around to Ctrl-C/V.

Shall we start a pool for guessing the date of the first 12"+ deposit, to be measured at Donner Summit Snow Lab?
PM me your guesses and I'll put together a calendar. I'm thinking bragging rights, but you may be able to leverage those into a beer with a bit of braggadocio. Gotta know the art of the deal.
