Milwaukee Fly Fishing??
I am flying into Milwaukee Sunday for a quick meeting and am staying by the river all by my lonesome. I have an afternoon and evening to kill and was wondering if anyone had any info on fishing there? I will be staying out near W Brown Deer Road and 57. Was thinking of getting a license and bringing my 7wt up for some bass? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

I grew up there. Decent fishing close by the hotel. Lake would be worth a shot too. I'll try to call a buddy or two for reports.

This is a tiny creek 30 minutes out. It's where I cut my teeth on fly fishing.

Milwaukee Fly Fishing??
Thank you so much everyone for all the info so far. My window is pretty short with landing just a little after noon...but with a new baby, a trip like this is my chance to wet a line in a more focused manner...even if it is just an evening. Planning to head for fish when I land and fish till dusk if it's good.
Bought my 1 day license online...$10. So much more convenient then it used to be and happy they have day licenses."We had nice 3 days in your autonomous mountain realm last weekend." - Tom from Austria (the Rax ski guy)
