A cheap paint job is light sanding, mask the trim, spray it.

A more expensive paint job is going to involve removing and replacing worn trim, rubber, etc. They'll do much more prep work, they'll do much more finish work. You may even be including ceramic coating in the finish package at a high end shop. $5k is starting to get into the higher end. No shortage of talented painters in SoCal but it ain't cheap.

That’s accurate on price. If you don’t have rust a wrap is a great way to go. I priced it out and a local wrap shop was 2-2.5k. Lots of cool colors and options. I think the sled in purple or cool scandi blue would look sick. I do miss the v70r I had.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

In the outtakes on the Motortend channel version, Dave talks shit about how bad a job Fred did. He’s leaning his arm against the door and pulls away leaving behind a hairy arm print.

In Atlanta anything notating a “M” car, AMG, “RS” or even “S” badges get stolen so they can be reaffixed to some broke ass motherfuckers 15 year old beat to shit import, crooked and in the wrong places of course, so that the owner can brag to their friends how they got some top of the line shit.

It’s no joke. Last week I saw a 4 cyl A4 with an RS badge on it. Wasn’t even a Quattro, but hey, that dude was showin that bling out for the rest of his social circle.

Saw a cherry Audi A1 hatchback yesterday. Not gonna lie. I kinda want one. It had Mexican plates which explains the sighting. Damn shame we never got them here. Just might have to import one from south of the border someday. Haha.

Ha! I had no idea there were such refuges on the internets for mean-spirited badge enthusiasts.

Someone stole the VW badge off my car in high school, many years ago.

    Desperation, I guess.

It's nice but the coilovers need to go. Speaking from experience they look great but all the bushings fall apart quicky. It isn't worth it for the scene cred.

That might be the best looking CTS-V wagon I've ever seen. Really cool in its own quirky way.

I like it. Meh on the color. And I know the track dorks like to talk about the weight savings and rigidity of a slick top, but is a CTS-V wagon really going to benefit from a moonroof delete?

If I'm laying waste to tires and hydrocarbons in a corvette-powered wagon; I want a damn moonroof so I can increase my vitamin D intake, damnit!

Blocked sunroof drains have sent more than just a few CTS Wagons to salvage yards. Like so many vehicles there's a bundle of wires that runs under the carpet right next to where the drain hose goes down the a and b pillars. When they get fkd up the water backs up and ends up inside. Nothing good happens after that
