No love for the CTS-V Wagon on BAT? Supercharged 6.2l with 550 ponies...

Haha fucking BAT drives me nuts
BAT is an endless dreamers gallery. That RS4 is real real pretty and clean. The V70R is a gem, besides the blue interior accents. Woof... And then there's the run-of-the-mill beasts: 2012 E63 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-amg-wagon-24/

The cayenne 6 speed MT has me drooling.

I know it’s not technically a wagon. But that BAT has me thinking . . .

    Wagon Stoke

The e500 shakes a little at 60+ mph now. I have another set of tires to burn through before I get too worried.

Not a wagon, but one of our clients has a 1994 S4 sedan in their garage with 30k miles. Fucking drool.

Welp, looks like I committed myself to the Allroad for another couple years ahead of schedule (which hopefully works out perfectly to when someone's RS6Avantwithabox comes off lease).

Got a little sputtering on startup that was easily remedied with a touch of the gas pedal. Yep, carbon cleanup time.

I have a great Audi indy mechanic and after talking shop we decided to do a total refresh up there: carbon cleaning, new R8 plugs and coils, seals, redesigned injectors, water pump and....... APR Stage 1 tune

    Lets see them gains boys...

What year allroad? My GFs 14 sometimes feels like that, but then again I almost never drive it. I know the older gen A6s had carbon issues but I wasnt aware it happened on allroads. How is stage 1? She wants it for hers

And how many miles now, Bmills?

I'm lusting after the MB wagons and the current engine is direct injection turbo so coking is a concern. Doesn't seem to be as much chatter about them as compared to some other DI engines although I'm sure it's still an issue. Reading online, it sounds like extensive filtration of the PCV system can play a big role in reducing the buildup.

    2013, 89k miles.

It wasn't anything that scared me, and it wasn't throwing CEL codes but I knew I was going to keep it for a few more years as is as it is in pretty mint shape and well, someone has to eat the depreciation on these new RS6Avants/A6Allroads.

I guess with these direct injection engines the coking is inevitable, but it's not terribly expensive to address; that and Audi redesigned the injectors which should substantially reduce the issue. While they have the top off the engine it became a no-brainer to do the rest of the work for a total refresh - I'm actually super stoked to see how clean she runs.

The APR Stage 1 was a total impulse buy. Shop tech took me for a spin in his APR tuned Allroad ('14) and the difference was instantly noticeable. The minor turbo lag from a dead start was gone, the punch through the first 5-6 gears was heavy and it pulled the whole way. Can't wait to drive my own.

For all the carbon cleaning, new R8 plugs and coils, seals, redesigned injectors, water pump & labor it was a shade under $2k and another $550 for the APR Stage 1. I can't wait to see how this thing hums.

I also bought a Thule rack today which means I'm just short a cargo box and the "U STEVE" license plate away from being a TRG driving god.

I had a rental Jetta driving up and down rogers pass. The DIS was showing 5.8 l/100km average over a few days. That's really impressive, and I was driving it sprinted. I meant to pop the hood but I never got around to it. I wonder what engine was it. It was actually pretty fast. Any idea what engine it could have been? Supposedly it had 8 speeds, was it CVT? A vw wagon with that engine would be nice. My B7 3.2 fuel consumption is a bit too much on long trips. Sure it goes like hell, doesn't have the V8 issues and it's the last manual wagon... but highway inefficiency irritates me. The b6 1.8t was my favorite, maybe I should have waited until I found a 2.0t.

Really like the combination of power and fuel efficiency in my b9 ... would like it even more with a stage 1 upgrade I suspect

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I always thought the term 'gnostic demiurge' was more evocative.

Perhaps it should be more fractional?

Had a transmission leak a few weeks back and took it in to be resealed. Noticed last Thursday it is leaking big time again, so made an appointment for tomorrow. Driving over to drop her off, I saw a previous generation Audi Q7 TDI and thought how I always liked that car. Please tell me they are POS and not to go down that road.
