Yeah, that's hot shit right there.

I was just wondering if they'd ever be convinced to make a S-class wagon, it'd look so good.

Money does wonders to convince them apparently, although not a very good blend on the looks side

I wouldn’t worry too much about miles if it’s up to date and no issues. The one with 86k is pretty nice.

I just drove 150 miles at close to 80 mph and got 21mpg.

They do call the latest AMG wagon the “S”. Probably for sports.

Ze Hammer was the W124 E-class chassis+body modified by AMG with a 6.0 engine and many extras. Two wagons were made by AMG out of ~30 total Hammers.

The silver wagon is a W126 S-class chassis. A few other one-offs were made, but never by MB:

Love the W126. Old 70-80’s benzes are bargains in the classic world.

    Holy shit yes.

I’m a sucker for clicking on a listing for just about any decent wagon and I saw this tonight. For that price, in 2019, you could have gotten an Audi or BMW wagon, CPO, with 30,000 or less miles for the same damned price.

I feel bad for people looking for a good used car right now cause these prices are fucking stupid.

Just found this thread - oh man what is it about wagons?! And why do the vast majority of American eschew them to the point where manufacturers don't import them because they can't sell them here. I don't get it.

This is my daily whip. 2014 F31 M-sport 328i xdrive with Dinan stage 1 making 330hp. I fantasize about swapping an M3 drive train with a 6 speed, but not sure I could afford the added cost of a divorce attorney.

I got the pipe to whistle like Zamfir playing his pan flute on the way home

    That is amazing.

We had one just like it growing up, only brown. The previous owner had installed a second fuel tank and a CB radio. We drove it from Mass to Florida to visit my grandparents one winter. We got to Florida after the ferry had stopped running for the night, and there were no motel vacancies, so we slept in the Volvo. All five of us. Luckily, us kids were still small.

I've always liked the old boxy Volvo wagons, or anything old and boxy for that matter.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Okay last one, but this should make it obvious I've had the wagon stoke for a long time.

This is my 'old' 2014 Subaru WRX STi Wagon, Stage II 420hp (last of the STi wagons). This was an outrageous little buggy and a handful to drive at times - so much so that it just got old after a while as it was difficult to drive sanely (very mediocre brakes even though Brembo 4 piston). I also had the original 2002 WRX wagon that was bumped up to about 300hp. That car had even worse brakes ...

Oh, and don't want to forget my least favorite wagon - the Mercedes C240 4 matic (don't know why the picture keeps rotating?). I wasn't a fan of this car which ultimately became "the kids car" at 150k miles. Notice the replacement hood emblem (skier from the top of a trophy) once someone stole the Mercedes hood emblem.

My parents bought a white one after their '74 was totaled. They paid $4,500 for it with the only option being a rear wiper and defroster (required in the state), I did what I could to make it look better (SR5 wheels/wider tires from the other car, nice stereo, ect,) but I still hated driving it when I had to, I always had my own much cooler cars (I was a teenager). They put over 100,000 miles on it before giving it to my sister who put another 100,000 miles on it. As much as I hated it as a teenager the first car I bought when moving to WA was a '81 wagon, It made countless trips to Baker before being replaced by a Subaru.
here it is next to my '81 Pickup.

That 81 pickup kicked ass. My old roomie had one that he drove down from AK to AZ in college. We did some dumb shit with that truck.
