I'm not sure what a few of those are but one thing stands out. They're mostly more hatchback like with the raked rear window, IMO a good wagon (or utility oriented SUV) has a near vertical window. Those cubic inches are often the difference between closing or tying the gate down when you have something long and tall to move.

Yep, lots of hatchbacks instead of SUVs.

Manual more available, more diesels, more HP and torque per liter than US.

Concept seems to be that they want cars for the 95% of their use.

Choice versus a 4500-5000 lb grocery hauler for an average of 1.2 persons.

I have a 20-year old 3-series wagon. Use it to haul something besides skis or bikes maybe 1-2x/year, if that.

    YMMV…

    Zactly.
Plus in the good old US of A there will be some (neighbor) dipshit with a pickem up truck when you need it, or fuck, just get the shit delivered.

(yeah, it’s a ‘shooting brake’ not a wagon.)

    Wagon Stoke

Never ceases to amaze me how hard the drivers push the cars at vintage racing events.

My dad had a 79 Cutlass Cruiser with a mini V8 and 3spd auto. It was beige outside and desert sand velour with Southwestern woven inserts inside, the back seat windows didn't open but there were vents the AC had one setting, too cold and, it would plow thru snowbanks up to the hood and keep coming back for more. It was disappointingly beige but I loved it and would get one now if I saw one.

He needs to send it. 50 yards.

Or at least tie a toy dog to the rear bumper.
