Would def be a fun car but hope you like to wrench. I am now the proud owner of a not quite running A4. God damn Audi plastics are about as shitty as BMW. Working my way through replacing a butt ton of plastic bits in both the engine bay and the interior. Haha.

The good news is that everything so far has been dirt freaking cheap.

Work on it yourself or prepare to go broke if you're paying a mechanic. If you're working on it yourself, they're shockingly cheap. But either way you better be scoring a smoking deal on a 13 year old Audi with high miles. If so, then rock on! Go for it!

Yeah, my big question with the Audi is why? They aren't stupendous to drive, and maintenance will be 2-5x the Hyundai cost

It’ll be a lot more fun to drive than that Hyundai

Shouldn't we defer to Drew on that?

How much are they asking for it? What major maintenance has been done? Will this be a quiver car, or will you sell the Hyundai?

Unless the answers are "not much," "lots," and "quiver" you're certifiably insane.

Yup....and it looks great (up there with the BMW 300 series wagons).

But....it has 4 owners and was in an accident and my mechanic just told me to pass on it due to those often breaking down. Very kind and honest of him...to take potential $ out of his pocket.

BTW - he is asking $3300

I'd take that car for maybe a grand give or take five hundred bucks. I got my A4 for free, so what's that tell you about old Audis? Haha.

I told my wife about all the hype you lot were giving the Buick. She says, “Why the fuck would I want a Buick?”

Maybe she’s like Mrs. plug. If I say something like “turn right after that X1 up ahead”, she has no idea what I’m talking about. I need to say “after the red car.”

I bought it when I was traveling 1000 miles a week for work. Now I live on site in employee housing and most of my driving is to and thru the desert in an f250 that gets 11mpg and doesn't have A/C.

If I still commuted and had a garage to store it in for the winter, I'd keep it. Unfortunately Space is limited and it's time to consolidate.

Yeah I too am limited to linking pics from the web cause for some unknown reason I can remember the html tag code to do so.

No clue how to upload a pic from the phone with all the posting tool buttons gone.

I read if you have the app on your phone you can upload images. I never use my cell phone.
