It’s an old Audi that runs?

I’ve owned several Audi’s/VWs and I’ve simultaneously loved and hated each one.

We have one, it is a tank for both good and bad. It weighs like 5700lbs and drives heavy. Plenty of grunt from the tdi so it doesn’t feel slow and gets like 30mpg highway and 18mpg in town. Great tow vehicle for our 4500lb camp trailer. Interior is nice but doesn’t have current tech and is small for the size. We haven’t hit any expensive bills yet but even standard maintenance is pricey things like 9qts of fancy oil. The wife likes it, I only drive it on trips for the space or for towing the camper.
I also have a 6mt e91 325xi wagon and it is way more fun to drive and I will take every time I don’t need the big car. It is small for family trips and drinks far more premium than it should for the size but that might be my right foot.

I took the box off, threw a cover and a club on it and park it like this:

The anomaly is no check engine light.

Thanks for that. I am just afraid of a Audi with no warranty, so I will keep fixing Inga.

That would have been the 1.4 TSI. I've only read good things about it.

The TDI's all have a super long warranty from the emissions scandal. A lot of stuff is covered, taking some of the risk out of owning a German diesel.

Any audi guys here? I have a 2012 Audi RS6 wagon that has been federalized (titled in the U.S.), that I'm trying to help a buddy sell. Because they were not sold in the U.S...it's hard to find a comp for pricing.

PM me if you have thoughts.

How’d he federalize a car that isn’t that old? I’d be curious to see some pics too.

Here are a couple data points:

The wagon going for $39k was recently bid up to $33k on BaT. BaT also has a data for a few wagons that haven't been federalized. Full RS6 data set here: https://bringatrailer.com/audi/rs6/

Mercedes debuted the E class refresh today. 2020 is the last year for the traditional wagon in the US. 2021 starts the All-Terrain which will compete with Allroad and Cross Country wagons. So, now is your chance for an E wagon with unfinished plastic bumpers and fender trim. The good news is availability of plug-in hybrid four cylinder (at least for sedans) and mild-hybrid inline six powerplants.

A standard E450 in navy blue with bright work trim is about the sharpest looking wagon going. Shame they’re doing away with that.

Also confusing was that they debuted the allroady E wagon over a year ago in Yurp first. That’s tailor made for US buyers.

Chrome is ugly. Black trim is better.

Tasteful brightwork around the greenhouse to match the badging. Not on the wheels or anywhere else.

Black trim makes it look like an entry model.

    Or a murdered out attempt.

Bmills, I'm with you on the subtle chrome and color choice.
