It's hideous but Lambo will sell a ton of them. I'd take rather an E63 S wagon and a 911 for that kinda cash.

The Mk7 is a pretty big step forward from the MkVI. 2016 is the sweet spot though. The upgraded the infotainment (Carplay, Android Auto) and then for 2017 there was some minor decontenting.

Correct. 2015 was the first year of the MKVII wagon.

    Wagon Stoke

Ditched my beloved 2007 'Rester witth 185k for a shiny new '18 Golf Alltrack. AWD 6MT. 1.8T. Thing is pretty slick. Swap the IS12 with the IS20 out of a GTI, A4, Q5, ect and chip it and you have a 300whp dad wagon.

Do the swap. Aside from a few peeps, that mod is all talk on the forums

No need for an engine swap, just tune the engine and use premium gas to get 250hp. That should be good enough.

I got my wife an Alltrak and its really a fun little wagon. She got the DSG but when her lease is up I may get a 6 spd version for myself.

And don't bother with an engine swap. Just do an APR Stag 1 ECU reflash you that gives you 2.0T power.

It isn't an engine swap. It is a turbo swap. 250hp is weak. Life begins at 300hp. Do it.

I see. From watching the V70R forums forever, if your going to go that route you are asking for a cracked sleeve sooner rather then later unless you build the entire engine up to take the additional boost. Like I have always said on Swedespeed, you want a 300hp to 400hp car? Buy one that comes that way out the door or pay the price to mod and then fix yours when it breaks.

It’s always good to add more power and not upgrade any other parts on the car.

Or buy a car that is detuned from the factory and boost it. Plenty of examples of success on that mentality. Evo, wrx, gti, focus, q5, legacy, S4, S6, mustang, on and on

Believing that only auto companies can make high hp versions is way too conservative in my mind. Take chances and trust the aftermarket people. I've got hundreds of thousands of miles on several Stage 2 cars over many years. No issues, no warranty problems, and lots of fun (without racing)

I was distracted and found a good Alltrack/Outback comparison:

Nice looking ride!!! I always was partial to that generation's body style. Such clean lines. So classy unlike so many current cars that are just trying to appeal to millennials with their overly aggro xtreeeeeme looks. I'm looking at you, Lexus/Toyota.

Saw a Panamera Turbo wagon at the dealership last weekend. 180k...

    Seems reasonable.

Maybe the best LS made. I passed on a 4k mile example in your area a year ago and wish I hadn't.

Fantastic car and all but... not a wagon. This is the wagon stoke thread. Perhaps you're lost?

Yeah, one of my favorite things about the car is how well the design has stood the test of time. This car looks perfectly up to date when parked next to any late model audi, Mercedes, etc jelly bean suvs. Better actually.
Car has new control arms, a new radiator (old one was leaking a little bit) new radiator hoses, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, and I can code the computer to have all the gizmos work how you want. Self leveling air suspension needs a new compressor. This one is tired, still works OK, but starting to throw the occasional sls error. It actually is quite easy to replace. I have pulled it apart and cleaned it, and that bought me 6 more months, but it is getting to be time.
    sigless.

I may wander, but certainly I'm not lost.
