    1) My wife can drive stick, I couldn't find one and that's how it rationalize it.

    2) Dude, it's an 11 year 262k km warranty that covers a shit ton of stuff. On a diesel VW. No way I'm voiding that.

    3) Not worried about CELs, see point 2.

WTF? FKNA, your older one was STILL cooler than mine. Mine was a tan/cream with an automatic on the floor. Neutral hole shots were pretty laughable on the bias ply tires.

It was good for going to school in, but on Friday night we cruised in my friends 1970 Mustang Mach 1. grabber orange and black, 351W, etc.
Until he rolled it and severed his Achilles clean.

    - Tortoise's car, the 2015 mk7 GSW has a crazy warranty package bcuz dieselgate. Covers about 90% of the serious shit. I'd hang for that too. My mk6 though only extended my warranties about 4 yrs/50k more than the original expired one. If my JSW didn't already deliver so strong, I'd likely mod up. I keep cars long and in tiptop shape. Until I don't.

Taken indeed and without the courtesy of a reach around as is usually the case with bimmer repairs. It did help make me see the light and become a born again shade tree mechanic though.

I had the e90 330i - only year the e90 got the high-strung tuned version of the n/a N52 I6 before the 335 came along.

The exhaust note on startup was pure sex, and that thing was a joy to drive right up until I traded up.

As a continuation of my earlier cloud shouting, heated seats are only $450* extra on the E450 wagon which has a base price of $67k.

*$450 heated seats require the $3,150 premium package, $550 blind spot assist, and $2,250 driver assistance package. Total cost of heated seats is actually $6,400.

That's fucked. A 20k Kia comes standard with heated seats.

The ala cart heated steering wheel at $250 is a bargain. My favorite luxury.

Fully loaded with tax be darn near $90k.

My uncle runs a Merc dealer in CT and had a customer order a "Designo" custom E350 wagon with a sticker of $110,00. Full AMG body kit, AMG wheels, exhaust, suede headliner, all that non-sense. The buyer canceled the order as it was being shipped here. It sat on the lot for months before he leased to my pops for a stupid low "get this thing off my lot" lease rate.

Gorgeous car but I don't get why the original buyer just didn't get an E63 wagon for the same price.

There's a guy here with a cherry Vista Cruiser that's his DD. Can't remember what year he said, but I think it's a '70. I've asked him several times if he'll sell it, and his response every time is "you can't afford it".
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

VC's and the Buick version are my all time favorite longroofs. Something about the skywagons just does it for me. That 70 if it has the 455 is an awesome car! My uncle had one with the Rocket 350 when I was a kid and it was the bomb, turned me into a wagon fan for life.

In the mid 80's my dad rocked the Caprice Classic wagon with the 5.7 V8. God damn wagons have come a long way.

They've also gone backwards. I'd challenge someone to find one that a sheet of plywood fits in. Heck even the 66/67 Dodge Charger could fit a full sheet.

That's what I learned to drive in, dad had a 79 Cutlass Cruiser with the 260 and this wild southwestern pattern woven fabric interior. It had the factory heavy duty suspension so it had a 1/2 ton interior capacity and better towing too but that 260 was a slug. It did get 24mpg which was nice when I took it on Dead tour

Sometimes I forget about that one but yeah, that Pontiac 400 (?) had plenty of giddyup and it definitely held its own against the Buick. I still prefer the softer lines of the Vista Cruiser though.

Both were long gone by the time I was old enough to drive.

Those Custom Cruisers were so nice in their day. They floated down the highway effortlessly at nearly double the speed limit. That Olds 455 with the Turbo 400 was a killer combo.
