Wagon Stoke
I’m in a similar boat at 167k in my XC60. Guessing the next 12 months will inform us all on whether we got something that comes with bragging rights or an ulcer.

Saw an add for that EV A6 allroad, said release date is early 2024?
Any idea of MSRP? I bet they’ll be hard to get and spendy, but wow.
Edited to add: I’m reading $75k to $85k. Also, wow.

*400k KM, not miles.
Ok my current B7 at around 200k I had a light rattle that drove me nuts for month's. On rough roads and FSRs it was pretty bad. I got a press and replaced most bushings. I was ready to replace the whole control arm if they showed signs of wear but they were good. When I was done rattle was still there. In the end it turned out to be an exhaust shield.

FWIW, when I was at the same mileage I too was questioning whether or not to ditch and move on or keep it, as repair bills started to stack up. THANKFULLY, I pushed through. We had a bit of a rough patch from about 160K-180K with a few BS items like my shifter assembly and then the stupid steering lock mechanism I had to fight the dealer on to not buttrape me on price. THEN my water pump blew around 180Kish I think, requiring another tow, and I was about to throw in the towel. Thankfully I kept on keeping on (due to financial circumstances really), BECAUSE that was the last time it's needed a tow and it's actually been shockingly mostly trouble free and super reliable for the last 40K miles or so since that last event! At right under 200K I swapped out struts and shocks (all original if you can believe it), tires, brakes, and some other basic odds and ends. I'm now hitting 220K and it's driving like a dream. Engine's still buttery smooth and like a Timex, she just keeps on ticking somehow. Looking back throughout the car's history, aside from that bump in the road around your mileage, it's overall repair costs have been extremely low and doesn't really cause me much trouble at all. Hasn't been "I've only changed the oil and it's at a million miles" good, but damn good for what it is. Seats still kick ass though.
Anyway point is, you'll be coming up on some stuff. If you like the vehicle, just push through and it should hopefully be as good as mine has been! If you DON'T like it that much, then ditch beforehand. Up to you. If you keep it, just make sure and pre-emptively do the water pump unlike me. That could've been bad. Doh! I lucked out I didn't warp the head and blow a head gasket.Last edited by MontuckyFried; 02-10-2023 at 10:53 AM.

What you wrote Austin is the same for my caR. It had some expensive repairs around 110k miles and again around 180k miles. The last 3 years have been really pretty much problem free except for normal maintenance and the caR currently runs great. Now if I could just get a great paint job for less than $5k, cuz the clear coat is fucked.

Only 50 in the US. Can’t find one.

But fuck if I can find one. I even offered Bobby stainless a bounty.
My e39 is balls. But the panamera cockpit is a fighter jet.

Someone asked about V90 CC T6. I have a 2017, purchased new in late 2017, about to hit 60K mi. With almost all the options. I love it, but also don’t have much to compare to as it’s my second-ever non-beater car (1st being a 2007 Outback XT which I looooved). No major mechanical issues - I got warranty through 50K and don’t think I broke even, and if I did it was on seemingly minor but annoyingly expensive items, which made it worth it.
It’s sexy as all hell. Really makes getting into any car not 2x its price feel like a Motel 6. It’s comfortable for my shitty back. It’s great for road trips and passing from 60 to 90. I still haven’t taken it as fast (110) as I took the Subaru (140) and probably never will. It leaves a little to be desired in 0-60, automatic transmission lag, and handling in tighter/more variable turns, i.e., aggro neighborhood driving. Clearance is almost as good as the Outback for rallying on dirt roads and summer camping and such. Traction in snow is less good although I only have the stock 20” rims which isn’t a fair comparison. Heated and cooled massage seats are amazing. I actually like the touch screen interface, but I also generally like the understated and uncomplicated aesthetic. There’s an annoying lag in all the touch screen stuff when you first start the car that goes away in the first minute and which I think has been fixed since 2017. The auto-pilot/“driver assist” is impressive and smooth although perhaps that’s the norm on any peasant car these days 🤷🏼♂️.
The only wagons that turn my head are the non-CC V60 and V90, but as mentioned, those are/were harder to come by.
Now that I’m reaching the statistically-most-likely high expense stage, I’m starting to think of the next wagon… and I really can’t think of one unless I win the lottery or move to Europe.
What else do you want to know?
