Buick TourX dead:

No real surprise I’m sure, but if you are in the market for a severely discounted wagon that probably loaded with more bells and whistles than a stripped out sportwagen, these things might be worth a look.
Man I hate crossovers.I still call it The Jake.

That sucks but predictable. Hanging and parking next to my friend this weekend with his Audi Q7 - which is like a spaceship inside compared to my Alltrack S. Bells and whistles slap you in the face but he has an exposed ski rack on the roof because he can't fit it in the garage with his Yakima box. Salt and rust on his kids brand new race skis. Meanwhile my Alltrack and Outback roar in and out of the garage with a massive 21 cf box on the roof. We load and unload in warmth and comfort. Another reminder that there is a price to pay for sitting up high. We pay the price with our 4R but it gives us off road ability whereas crossovers generally just give you the elevated seating position and not much more.
On the positive side, his pano isn't leaking. And it is a sweet ride. He bought it preowned with unlimited miles warranty. Probably sells it when that expires in 1.5 years.

I have seen them with some large discounts. Like a $45k MSRP fully loaded wagon for $25k If there was only a way to change out the front Buick grill work and delete the start stop function it would get another look from me. As it sits today, I am saving my change up for the A6 Allroad.

There were some pretty big fans of the TourX at Jalopnik: https://jalopnik.com/10-000-miles-ow...ive-1835082720
Too bad they're killing it, it would be nice to have an AWD wagon option closer to the Outback price point than the Euro wagons.

More like too bad no one bought it. I've seen one on the road since it came out. ONE.

Wagon Stoke
I haven’t seen one, never not once. I did rent a Buick crossover SUV one time and the brakes were terrible with only 3.5k on the odo.

It looks like the roof melted. It should be taller.

Worse part of today's car design is a sloped roof which reduces the cargo space in the trunk. My SIL's Lexus RX is guilty of this.

I personally would steer clear of low volume rides like this Buick. No one buying them means parts and repairs are going to be a fucking bitch and it is basically guaranteed to depreciate like a stone, despite the massive mark downs currently.

Good news! You totally can! I posted a link to a product that does just that a few pages back. Will try and dig it up later. I would definitely want to do that too.
Personally I think it's a good looking car. If it came with a stick (since I do not trust GM slushboxes), I'd be all over one today.

Aside from the abruptness of many (not all) of them, I am leery of the long term reliability. SUPPOSEDLY they're rated for many times more cycles, but have a buddy who's gone through three starters on his Malibu which was NBD when it was under warranty but the last one was after warranty expired and it was stupid expensive to replace apparently. I'm sure some cars are better than others in this regard tho. As always, YMMV.
