To be fair I don't not think your head is in the sand. It is far up your ass.

An Iowa high school teacher who lamented in a Facebook post that he did not have his "sniper rifle" for a visit by Swedish teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg has resigned, according to the Des Moines Register.

    This shit is so simple.

    1. Global Climate is clearly warming.

    2. Global climate has warmed before but data shows this warming period has characteristics not seen in previous warmings

    3. This time there are multiple human inputs into the system that weren't there before.

    4. Continued warming would be disastrous.

    5. The prudent course is to minimize human inputs and see what happens while we also

    6. Prepare for the worst.

    I mean that's it that's all.

If you don't start with the humanitarian side of things (wars/poverty/healthcare/ and exposing psychopathic pedophiles running all this shit) then all the climate solutions are completely moot and won't change a thing except enslave us further.

It might have happened before but this is the first time I've seen either a truthful or factually correct statement from Skicouger.

It turns out many of the climate deniers in Skicouge's statement are connected to a transatlantic network of think tanks funded by oil companies. The signatories include members of the Koch funded Heartland Institute, the Taxpayers’ Alliance, etc., as well as various European climate science denial groups funded by people and entities with ties to Euro oil companies like Shell.

True to form for Skicouger, the talking points peddle in stale falsehoods and gross scientific nonsense.

Look at the titles in that list. Professor of Mathematics is hardly a climate scientist. "Professional Engineer"? LOL! Below are the opinions of peer reviewed studies from authors with credentials in climate and earth science disciplines.

For the purpose of this list, a "scientist" is defined as an individual who has published at least one peer-reviewed research article in the broad field of natural sciences, although not necessarily in a field relevant to climatology.

Not all of the signatories are members of think tanks funded by oil companies. Some of the signatories skip the pretense of think tanks altogether and are instead executives and former executives of oil and gas companies.

The misinformation campaign itself, the denial group behind the letter, is run by a former Shell Oil Company executive.

"The results underline the fact that solar energy is now becoming cost-competitive with conventional forms of energy in markets around the world. A recent study covering 344 cities in China, published in Nature, found that in all cases unsubsidized solar PV was cheaper than electricity supplied through the grid."

besides which an awful lot of them are retired profs. Not hard to get a doddering old fool to sign on to anything if it makes them feel relevant again. Surprised Linus Pauling isn't on the list.

I was referring to his support for megadose vitamin C. People took him seriously because he was a Nobel Laureate--in an unrelated field.

One could argue that the belief that just because one was successful in a micro-environment, that automatically translates into being able to know everything in the macro-environment, and insist that other people must listen and obey, has lead us to where we are today.

Not that it would do any good, mind you.

"The big lie we’re told about climate change is that it’s our own fault"

The dominant narrative around climate change tells us that it’s our fault. We left the lights on too long, didn’t close the refrigerator door, and didn’t recycle our paper. I’m here to tell you that is bullshit. If the light switch was connected to clean energy, who the hell cares if you left it on? The problem is not so much the consumption — it’s the supply. And your scrap paper did not hasten the end of the world.
Don’t give in to that shame. It’s not yours. The oil and gas industry is gaslighting you.

That same IPCC report revealed that a mere 100 companies are responsible for 71 percent of global climate emissions. These people are locking you and everything you love into a tomb. You have every right to be pissed all the way off. And we have to make them hear about it.
