    Admit it. You're getting older

So yesterday was my birthday and it got me thinking. There are some obvious signs that I'm turning into an old man like the rest of you.

For starters, I would rather have bran cereal than Trix now.

I get up early without an alarm

I don't like new music on the radio(shit these days my dad says)

There's got to be more signs. How do you know you're old now? And if you're wondering what to get me for my bday, some pics of your girlfriend in my inbox would be great.

I'm going to get back to bitching about kids on my yard now.

You become invisible to young women.

Your dad seems a lot smarter than he did.

All you talk about are taxes and your health. Want to hear about my operation?

Radio just plain blows taint, it's not a young/old thing. It requires being content to be fed music by some hack DJ following orders from an even bigger hack progam suit/syndicated music pusher.

Some of us always have. I used to drink until 3-4am and still wake up @7. Kind of a curse, really. Being old isn't about getting up early, it's about a general failure in the ability to stay up late.

You need to find a better radio station.

I rely on my teenager for setting up electronics/technology.
I let him drive home instead of risking it or cutting myself off early.
I now have to shave every other day.

You know you are old when you have to ask your kids what snap chat, instagram or any of a dozen new technologies are. And more importantly nobody can explain why they are worth billions.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

I like Spyder, but the brand is ubiquitous. Plus it's a really girly DH suit for my really girly girl. (though the guy modeling it in the pic there sure has a purdy mouth.) For a teenage girl looking to be "unique" and stand out in a sea of spyders, the white tiger delivers.

there's a difference between growin UP and growing OLD.

As to growing OLD, my belly is directly proportionate to my age.

As to growing UP, go fuck yourself.

I'm in the somewhat interesting position of being younger than I used to be. I've talked about it before but I have this thing called hemochromotosis, which is basically iron overload syndrome. I absorb more of the iron that's in food than you do. I was being poisoned by too much iron in my blood and I felt like shit. Really really bad and it was constantly getting worse and worse but I didn't know I had it, I just thought that's how you feel when you get old. Sick, shaky, arthritic, weak. Just bad. And it lead all the way to me literally dying on an operating table before they found out I had it.

And after they brought me back to life in the hospital, they started treating the hemochromotosis. I had to give blood every two weeks for basically 4 years, that's the treatment, give blood. So I was still poisoned and also weak from giving blood all the time. I gradually got un-poisoned and started to feel better but I was still tired all the time as long as I kept giving blood.

In the past year or so it went from every two weeks to every month, then every 3 months and they just told me I can skip this session and come back in 3 more months and they'll see what's up. So it'll be 6 months between visits going forward. All the symptoms from the iron are pretty much gone. And I'm not tired any more. So I'm pretty psyched. Just being old is actually not that bad.

The reality of this has hit me life a freight train the last few years. There still are a few young girls that like you but it's because they have Daddy issues.
