I recall reading an interview in which the band (Slayer) talked about their early days. Some of the members were 17ish and still living at home when they began recording. The band formed and practiced in Kerry Kings (guitarist) garage.
I imagine, as a parent, coming home and hearing this kids band playing their music in a garage and thinking "what in the unholy fuck have these kids gotten into". There was no music as aggressive and demonic at the time.Last edited by papapoopski; 06-14-2015 at 10:06 AM.

If we are talking actual riffs I got to include a classic favorite, threatening riff.
Dimebag and vinnie fucking rock this riff. Plus it's one I can actually play on guitar and is fun as hell.
