Who Should Win The Park City MTB Trip?

First off, this spring has witnessed the production of some truly memorable TRs, from Cham to Quebec to AK to MT to many other awesome places capped in similar abbreviations. It was really hard for us to narrow the list down to five, but we went by such factors including length and breadth of the TR, quality and quantity of photos, helpful beta, story, and the X factor - multisportism.

We'll keep this poll open from now until Friday morning, June 5th, at which point we'll close the poll and see who the mags voted to be most deserving of a weekend MTB getaway in Park City, which will include three nights of lodging for two, two fully guided days of riding in Park City for two, and two days of solid rental bikes/helmets for two as well (also for two days). Thanks to our friends at Park City Lodging and Mountain Bike Park City for hooking up the winner; you can read my own TR of riding with them here.

    Here's the finalists!

#1: Lee Lyon - Wet Dream In The Hida Mountains

Awesome, long spectacle of steep skiing in Japan - a place we usually "only" get to see in bottomless photos of mellow tree skiing.

#2: Bryan Kirkwood - My Venture Out West to Ride The Colorado Trail and Teton Gnar

Cool story, good video/photo/text combo, rad riding, and sad finish with Glory the dog.

#3: thin cover - Chic Choc Full of Fun

Badass east coast stoke with the best pow of any of the finalists!

    #4: Mark H - Gannett Peak In A Day

Gannett Peak... 40 miles.... 17 hours.... 9000 vertical feet... in one day. Enough said.

#5: enginerd - Cheating in Chamonix

There were a lot of sweet multisport TRs this spring, but it was hard to top enginerd's ski/climb combo of rock routes in one of the most iconic valleys in the skiing world.

Honorable mentions (and just a hair separating them from the finals):

wcf3 - Dancing with the Jack of Shadows on 7601, Valdez AK

Crazy steep shit with a side of true AK madness and flavor.

    trogdortheburninator - CO Mountain-Skiing Linkups

Lots and lots and lots of great skimo stoke from Colorado.

kevino - Spring Ski Mountaineering in Glacier National Park, Part 1

Great multi-sporting going on in the name of skiing here: creek crossings to ski, biking to ski, canoeing to ski, skinning to ski.... strong work!
