    Silver Creek Brown Drake Hatch

...always good times on the creek. Either you're drinking and waiting, drinking and watching, drinking and running for cover or drinking and roping giant bows and browns. No matter what, I highly suggest you experience this particular hatch at some point in your life. It's a blast.

    Enjoy.

What's the point of wearing waders? Looks like it's all from the bank.

Or drinking because it's a cluster fuck with other fishermen. I've been out there for the BD hatch a few times and you're right, it was fun even tho there were lots of people. But then again I enjoy fishing the Ranch so who am I to bitch about crowds.

BTW, did you happen to see some freak wearing pink and driving a mini van out there?

His name's Ed, Whitefish Ed. Super nice guy, he's writing a book right now.

The Drake hatch is pretty awesome if your timing is lucky. People claim the hatch lasts a week, but in my experience, there's really only two good nights each year, when the fishing is completely out of control. And then it's like the fish are sick of drakes or something.

Yes Ed is a great guy. I spent many a days hanging with him on the Fork. Heard he had some health issue and was wondering if he's getting out fishing.

He had a rough winter, but he's doing a little better now, and I think you'd probably find him on the Fork right now.
