Ouch, forgot the rules. It'll never happen tho, ya bloody scallywags.
If you wanna see the pics, you can prob click on the little box. Works for me anyway.
If not, JMars posted a pic on the main Praxis thread of the Petite and a different model with the tsunami graphic if you want a comparable shot.
Neckbeard, didn't you get some Woo's? Aren't you in NZ right now? Ski the new sticks yet?
The Protests look great and I'm sure they'll be phenomenal in the deep. Not so sure of the Woo's though. Funny to see a modern ski of that width with so much rocker and taper but so little sidecut. I'm sure they'll be non-hooky but am I gonna be able to turn the things? Haven't skied that straight of a ski in a LONG TIME.
perhaps this should've been a post for the regular Praxis thread . . .

"That was a main design point when kidwoo and we other mags lobbied for that ski to be made."
I know man, I know.
Believe it or not I read thru pretty much the original "Gangrush" thread plus looked for whatever other info I could find on that ski, so I get the picture. But they look a bit different in person.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm gonna give em a solid go.
Definitely excited to get them out, first snow on the peaks where I'm at a few days ago!Last edited by Nordic Giant; 09-15-2015 at 12:09 PM. Reason: i'm a dork

Nope, not skied them yet. The Wootests will be too long for me as it is, and they are a soft snow ski, and UL layup. And NZ is not a place for soft snow UL layup skis that are too long for me. Japan this season.
I fixed your post for you. You are welcome.

The wife's stock Yeti 172s (surprise present for finishing her 1st marathon / incentive for her to do more touring this season) came in the other day... really gorgeous product.
Bonus cat. These will be mounted with G3 Ion 12s, which I hope will be a good binding for occasional inbounds use for her (I am sure they will, since she was on Radical STs last season)
I guess now I need to get some for myself

I still absolutely love that graphic for a touring rig. So fun. I was looking at snagging those for the wife originally too but CAD/USD stopped me in my tracks

Yeah I scooped up one of the clearance sale pairs, since the specs were the same as what I'd get her anyway. Even with the standard/cheapo core they're still extremely light... I'm kinda jealous.
Although my 179 full-carbon Bros w/SSLs should be nice for touring this season...

bump
was checking out veneer top sheets on their FB page and am wondering if they've had some different batches of wood come through. check this out:
this is listed as ambrosia maple
which looks the same as this grain too (not specified in their post)
they also have these listed as ambrosia maple, but the grain looks very different to me
based on the blanks on their website I wanna say the first two skis aren't ambrosia maple?

I did but I think they're pretty much standard build though. Keith was out of these when I ordered them so he let me change the veneer to birds eye maple(would have been fine with the veneer they're pictured with on the site). They're 3 flex and I think that's stock. Waiting for spring, I've only had 4 days on them so far , and just one after I remounted them on the dimple. Dimple is perfect with the pintails they have

What's the deal with the blue base material?
See a picture on their site of the guy skiing with the light green and light blue praxis logo on the bases but on the order page it looks more dark blue-green
