Got a few meters of rope?
I have a need for ~2 meters of strong rope that has a little stretch to it. I was thinking someone might have a retired climbing rope lying around they could snip a bit off of. Anyone?

Now that I think about it some more, how much stretch would you actually get from 2m and 50lbs of pull? I'm rigging up a tow rope for pulling my 5yo up some local bike trails and don't want it too jerky. Now I'm thinking a paracord/surgical tubing combo might be better.

Get one of those bungee dog leashes with webbing on the outside.

You could make it yourself cheaper with some tubular webbing and bungee cord, I was just using that as an example. Just run the bungee down the tube of the webbing and make the webbing longer than the bungee for slack. Knots on both ends.

Dan,
I think james g rigged up something for his kiddo. not sure if it involved anything w/ some stretch but may want to hit him up. I need to figure out something for Collin soon as well I think.

Good call, I forgot he put something together last year. Knowing James though I'm sure it's over-engineered to the nth degree
Would should all do a group kid tow in Draper soon. Sam rode Rush from the top on Monday and was hooting and hollering the whole way down.

Tacking on to this thread.
Anyone got a retired rope they want to get rid of? I need about 150 ft. I'm in CO.
